His athleticism is also a big contrast to Posey, who you overrate at about the same level that many overrate Tony Allen. He was the 6th best player on the team last year, a good but not exceptional 6th man.

Throughout his career, Posey has been the second or third best player in some play-off teams and a top4 or top5 player in championship teams.

So has Sam Cassell. I don't think Posey played at that level last year.

Haha, he wasnt neccasarily playing that way in the regular season, but please dont kid yourself, he was our 3rd/4th best player pretty consistenly in the playoffs..

Did Posey play a vital role in #17? Yes.

Was he consistantly the 3-4th most important player? I'd say no. 4th maybe. Pierce and KG would be a consistant 1,2 and Ray was often #3, sometimes higher. Then it was Rondo, Perkins and Posey in particular depending on the game.

At times he was 3rd or 4th, and at times he was outplayed by PJ and Leon Powe. If you have him our third best player in the playoffs I'd love to know which of the big 3 you have him ahead of. If you have him 4th, you have him better in the playoffs than Rondo. Overall, and don't kid yourself, this wasn't the case. At times Rondo was worse than Posey, at times he was better than Posey, and at times he was much better than Posey.

Consistency is much more important than people give credit for. I just wrote about that in another thread. Rondo had just so many play-off games where he was basically horrible, like in "he doesn't belong in a NBA court" horrible.
