Just heard Dickerson say PP will play, but Perk's shoulder moved when he hurt it a couple of games ago and might not be back until next Monday or even later. :-[

I'm not surprised. He aggravated his shoulder for what, the third time? Give it a little time off and he'll come back better than ever.

Also, better now that during a tougher stretch of schedule, right?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
what did he mean by "shoulder moved"?

this CANNOT be good...and i wrote a week or so ago that losing perk is the worst case scenario for this team...we have NO ONE that can replace him, except a bunch of undersized power forwards that are masquerading as centers.

I have no idea what the means, but that's what Dickerson said, "his shoulder moved". ???

Ainge really has to start thinking about getter a center, not just a backup, but someone good enough to start.  Perk's shoulder comes out so easily it's scary.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
This spells nothing, but trouble.

It seems like this will always be an issue with Perk.

I hope the team is giving more time than is actually needed.

Toronto and New Jersey aren't scary teams. I think they are going to rest Perk to get him healthy and feeling strong. It would be better for him to heal up now than to let the injury linger throughout the season.

Perk out, Pierce and Tony Allen dinged up.

That's three inactives for tonight. I want to see everyone else dressed. Let's see who and what we've got.

I'm less interested in our win-loss record for the next week than I am in finding out what some players can do when they get default minutes.

Not good. Why in the world did Danny not find a back-up center in the off-season or sign Deke? Courtney Simms anyone?

Going into this season with no quality behind Perk is unforgivable.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

POB is a prospect, its these times where to should see minutes and improve his game.

With Perk out, now is time for KG to step up and play in the paint and stop avoiding the contact with his 19 foot jumpers. He is a 7 footer, c'mon!!
Not only we don't have anybody behind Perk, We don't have anybody behind PP either.
If POB and Walker are just projects, we need some movements to improve our bench. If not , this season will be too long and probably disappointing! Hope DA reacts on time.

Exactly!  Perfect time for OBryant to show what he can do.  I'd even start him with Leon off the bench if we need the size.  Lets see what he can do.  Also as soon as Perk is back healthy I would give KG a game or 2 rest then PP etc.  I really have been happy with Pruitt showing he can help and I think Walker can give us some back up minutes to Pierce.

That someone is Joe Smith.  I know he isn't the ideal size, but he is big enough to be able to handle most big guys in the NBA, and so is KG.  If Perk goes down, the C's are much better getting a guy like Smith, who is a capable starter, regardless of his position, rather than pursuing a lesser player, who happens to be 7'.
