Hope Danny comes back with Walker and Sims! Give Cassel a clipboard.

Could we actually lay a claim to Sims?

POB > SIMS

But how much better? If you could bring up sims and then include POB in a trade, would we really be missing anything?

If Doc is only now starting to give Gabe Pruitt a few meaningful minutes here and there, has put Leon Powe's minutes down because he's not doing what he is being told to do, and only plays POB when we are up or down by 25 points with 6 minutes left in a game, what makes anyone think that he will play a rookie who can't even dominate when facing NBDL level talent? Walker's putting up nice numbers down there but let's get real, he's playing second rate talent at best. Doc isn't going to play him so he might as well stay there and keep in shape.

Doc needs to get the top 10 players on this team to play their style ball better and better as a unit. He does not need to start putting in lesser players just to prove to us that they aren't going to get the job done.

im hoping TA's utter failure is the mother of invention.

Or mabey doc is ok with tony doing absolutly nothing for us, i dunno. That would make him a much worse coach than i think he is though.

Crownsy, after reading this thread, I'm starting to get the feeling that you don't like Tony Allen...It's just an inkling.

I hate to say it, but if we make it through this mess somehow, and begin winning games again, if it's attributable to a Bill Walker call up, I don't think any of us would be surprised at this point.

Wherever would you get that idea?

My point in bringing up Sims was that a "nobody" can put up big numbers in the D-League and we can't really use Bill Walker's stats as a sign of his capabilities in the pros...  I wasn't trying to suggest that we go after Sims.

Not a bad idea. Put Cassel on the IR and finally have a SF on the bench. We need a long 3 who can defend the perimeter on the team defense and is athletic. I dont see why Walker couldnt fit in just fine.

And I was arguing that his defense has been good and his shooting has risen and now that this team is in an unbelievable funk and that Walker might be a nice spark off the bench. I'm not saying he'll solve all the ills of this team, but as long as they're playing poorly, why not see what Walker's got? What do they have to lose?

Backup QB syndrome. Doc Rivers got to see these guys play and he evidently felt TA was better or at the very least we needed to showcase some guys for trades down the road..

TA was hurt - and that was the reason for his awful play of late. If he comes back healthy I doubt Bill Walker can match him at this point. TA healthy would rip up the D. League. It's like watching Ricky Davis in the SPL. Scalabrine would be a stud in the D. league..

I think most of the posters on here ripping TA (including myself) think he's been playing poorly for most of the season. We also don't like TA even when he's playing well, and we're tired of hearing any of the standard excuses for him, because it's pretty clear that he's just not a very good basketball player.

Got to agree. Was totally mystified when they resigned him. Why even think that Tony would be the answer against Kobe or Lebron. That Danny or Doc would even talk about Tony as filing in for Posey or the whole Posey by Committee idea. It all reeked then and it reeks now. Time for new blood. Ever wonder why Tony gets injured every time there is any kind of trade rumor swirling around him. The combination of T Allen and House is not working. With Posey and House you had two people who could spread the floor for Tony.
