Might as well give him a shot, unless Danny's got something else planned I don't see why he wouldn't give Billy a chance.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
the cav's are playing a rookie in JJ Hickson and allowing him to learn on the job...it will be a HUGE help to them when the playoffs come around.

i think bill walker should be brought up and put into the rotation...sometimes you just have to trust a kid, and i think the celtics are foolish to not give him a shot.

Yep.

Just about every team has a rookie from this year playing a role. This draft is looking to be a very good one with a lot of NBA ready players. With our bench I don't get how we don't even give them a look. Ok, I lied I get it, but it's still frustrating.

While I think both Giddens & Walker are ready for a small role. Right now I do agree we might need Walker more especially if Pruitt keeps playing well. We are lacking the mean, instigator type player on the court. Right now this team has a whole lot of bark, and little to no bite.

Yeah i agree with Manup about the lotta bark/little bite thing right now.  A lot of the team seems comfortable.  I'd like to see if we'd get a spark if Giddens got a few of House's minutes, and Walker got a few of TA's.  These guys have something to prove.  Especially Giddens, who has been on the trading block despite have a shamrock tattoo on his neck!

Well since TA is out anyway and your wasting a spot dress Cassel, since he never plays, I see no reason not to bring him up. What could it hurt?

They should resign Darius Miles. Give him another shot on a 10 day.

yes, except most of miles' points were easy buckets from running the floor.  I'd like to see that from Walker but I don't think he has that kind of speed.

Miles is also at least 4 inches taller than anyone on our bench except O'Bryant.

he also just got cut by the freaking memphis griz from the vet min. because he couldn't play, and we ALREADY cut him because he couldn't play.

Look, I feel for the guy, but he's shot, he caught a real, real bad break.

JR & Walker won't see a minute in the NBA at least for now, Ainge/Doc don't want to showcase their talent including Pruitt. Right now they're using TA, Scal, BBD as bait for a legit BIG. This also explains why BBD is seeing more minutes than Powe. I'm also hoping Marbury comes here after the buyout of course to solidify our bench as a true 6th man.

wow, if thier playing TA and scal as trade bait, we are royaly screwed.

If that was a car being test driven, the wheels would have fallen off two blocks from the dealership based on thier current play, adn the engine would have siezed up.

and i think the fact that he's playing significantly better atm explains why BBD is seeing minutes over powe.

The whole team needs (at the very least) a shot in the arm. When was the last time you saw the bench play with ferocity? When was the last time you saw the starters animated on the bench while the subs were in? I think it might be time to bring Bill " There is another Sky-" Walker up from the D- League.

In 31 minutes a game, he's averaging almost 19 points, 5 boards( 1 offensive), 1.3 steals and most surprisingly 40% from 3. I don't see what the Celtics have to lose by bringing Walker up and seeing if he can provide some energy for the team. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would like to see this team at least play with some fire soon.

Those stats are ok, but not terribly impressive for the d-league.  It makes him statistically the 31st best player in the d-league.

For example... right now Courtney Sims is averaging 23 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks.  I don't even think he belongs to an NBA team.  Stats can be misleading in that league.

I agree with the concept of bringing in some new energy and youth, but bringing in a 2nd round rookie who doesn't yet know our team's defense and offensive schemes... or the pace of the NBA game.... probably is just going to hurt us more.

I severaly doubt he can do much worse than tony the turnover donkey, especially sicne tony stopped playing good defense about a month ago.
