I am a coffee fan. But tea is my first love.
The main difference between the caffeine in coffee, and in tea is not the amount. Tea often does contain more caffeine than Coffee. It's that the caffeine in Green and white tea is more of a time released fashion as opposed to coffee and Black tea which is more of a caffeine spike all at once, that's why you crash harder with too much coffee.
I just got in Silver needle white tea from China which is highly prized and the drink of emperors, it can only be picked for about three weeks of the year, as white tea is simply baby tea leaves not fully matured.
Green tea is steamed. Oolong and Black tea is fermented, white tea is just carefully dried and that's it. White tea has the most health benefits.
In a recent study from the Linus Pauling insitute in Oregon, Green tea reduced tumors in mice from an average of 30 to 17, while white tea averaged from 30 to 13.
And for those who don't like the "grassy taste" of green teas, give white tea a shot, it tastes nothing like green tea, and has a very mild flavor.
Oh and I'm thrilled to have payed 53 dollars for a pounf of Silver needle online that will last me a third of the year.
And you can pay 18 dollars an ounce for it at one of those rip off tea shops. The internet rules!
That's all for today.
