What a disastrous signing so far.

Obviously there's a lot of contract left for him to turn it around, but it couldn't have started much worse for Philly.
Yup

It's going to be very interesting to see how the Sixers react to this. Playing without Brand last year they managed to play the last half of the season well enough to earn the 7th seed. I wonder if they can manage to put a run together now?

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Might as well change his name to Rubber Brand...

Too bad, I've always liked Brand. Not looking like a good signing for Philly so far. Can the Clippers curse stay with you after you leave the Clippers?

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I think Brand will be fine once he gets healthy.  The timing of the injury is terrible for Philly, because the new coach needs to work on an offense that integrates both Brand and a running attack.  This sets that goal back.

(It also hurts me in multiple fantasy leagues, darn it.)

Well Philly in the past few season since they traded Iverson have always played well when they've had something to prove, I wouldn't be surprised if they turned it around while Brand is out.

Brand should have stayed in LA, I am sure he and Baron would have made it work and the Clippers would be better off than where they are now (the Sixers too).

i don't know, roy...some guys are just unhealthy and unlucky.  brand might just be one of those guys.  doesn't make him a bad person, just a bad investment.
