If we're picking our favorite Tanguay moment, I'll going with when he was running down Rondo's stats after the game and said he was "Money at the free throw line". While 11-15 isn't terrible, I don't think 73% quailifies as Money either.

i love mike and sean but, my dream broadcast would feature mr maxwell and mr heinshon. what a mind-warping, psychedelic freak-trip that would be! who cares if they did stats, got names right, or hit the commercials on time.

you'd just have to make sure to have oxygen on hand after laffing so hard.

Tanguay is a good guy, too. Just can't really handle the play by play duties.

And I think Grande is a little too full of himself. Went to Detroit and Scal and some other players would talk to us, but we yell out "yea Grande" and just no response or acknowledgement whatsoever.

It really makes  you realize just how great Mike is and how fortunate we are to have him. I very very rarely question a thing Mike says and have seen a lot of Celtics games throughout the years.

Just gave you one BrickJames. I will say however that it ISN'T the first one I have ever given you. I am also not very fond of TA and although he has played a little better than I thought he would this year, I still cringe every time he touches the ball. I am closer to your feelings on him than most on here. He is SO absolutely erratic it drives me nuts. Maybe we should start another TA thread this far into the season... I have given you quite a few in TA threads the past year or so!

Also, what is the deal with the Comcast scores/time bar being in the top third of the screen (at least on league pass broadband)?

Is it the same on TV?  When it is in front of the players' faces when they're shooting fts, or when the Amica ad drops down to obscure even more of the court, it's just WRONG.

Why not have it at the bottom, like everyone has done forever?

After last night's game, I sent the text quoted below to Comcast. I may have been a bit harsh, but last night's broadcast was an abomination.

"I just watched the Celtics beat the Jazz. The game was very enjoyable, with one major exception. Gary Tanguay should never be allowed to comment, on television, during the game, in any capacity. His bombast, embarrassing obsequiousness towards his co-host, and demonstrable ignorance of both the game of basketball and non-Celtic players, render him incapable of doing anything but irritating intelligent viewers. Please re-examine the direction of your sports coverage, and make all adjustments necessary to ensure the debacle that occurred tonight is never repeated. While I would prefer that you eliminate Mr. Tanguay from your basketball coverage entirely, I will be satisfied if you merely banish him to the non-analyst, in-studio position he normally occupies, so that I can continue to ignore his existence without missing the game. Also, please fire the dim-witted individual who sometimes serves in Mr. Tanguay's stead, as that gentlemen is, amazingly, even more inept than Mr. Tanguay."
