edgar,of the ones u listed that i watched, i say:

death note is awesome!
dragonball z- is "ok". it was a trendsetter and mainstream and has its good points, but a bit too long for me.
ninja scroll- just "ok".  kinda weird at points
cowboy bebop- i know it is pretty popular, but i hated it
champloo- i liked it a lot

Yes Death note is the way to go Not even a quastion there
easily the best serious drama anime ever made
by far

Dragon ball i loved but as usual long and omercial
If you like that thats why i recomend samurai 7 and fullmetal brotherhood
both comercial and good

beboop i never survived, I guess i am not a fan
just like i dont like One Piece

Other that i LOVED very recent ones

The legend of the legendary heroes is an unfinished AWESOME business
really Its the best next thing since Code Gueass


Grandhild of nurariyo is awesome too one season of greatness the best yokai anime i ever saw, i admitt i didnt saw a lot of yokai anime

Sengokou Basara  Very good anime with lots of fight and action


I am starting to love Bleach  another loooooong one

Thanks for the advice. Had the time to read through this topic a bit, since I'm at home, (sick, hitting the sack again in a few minutes) and will defo watch some of what you guys mentioned. Awesome.

Dantalia No Shoka seems like a good one


Episode one and I am already learning new things
for reading lovers this is the series for you


Sadly it has some very dark pages after episode 2 soo
again discresion is advice unless you cant see an anime series
and take it with a grain of salt seems like every year theyre
making this ones darker and darker
so feeel free not to even watch it if youre not used to
this kind of stuff

this avatar series takes place approx 75 yrs after aang beat ozai.  aang is dead and korra is the avatar.  aang will be in it time to time as a spiritual guide for korra, similar to how roku was to him.  apparently zuko is still alive, but really old (obviously). series begins this winter. the series won't be as long as the previous one.

all of this is what i have read, but i don't know how true any of it is.  there are a ton of rumors about the show, so i dont know what is true and what is rumor.
