Got to love "the twin tweeners"
we only need a backup C so our big man rotation is set.

If I had to choose, I'd keep Leon.
For actual play, not some video game.
But I really like both and hope Danny keeps em both. These guys can be great bench players for another 10 years. Either one could be a starter on a less talented team. Only thing I don't like is what others have pointed out- Baby is getting a little bit jump shot happy.

i'd trade leon, i love them both but as i was saying last night, its like he has no offensive skills outside of rebounding then going back up for contact.

I would keep both, but forced to choose, I'd take Big Baby because he is more versatile. If you need him to guard Shaq, he'll guard Shaq. If you need him get offensive boards, he'll go get offensive boards. If you need him to shoot mid range jumpers, he's going to be able to do that soon. Leon's game is more limited, I'd say, but I'd like both of them to stay Celtics.

I'd take Powe, simply so I don't have to watch Baby take 15 foot jumpers anymore.

You'd take the less versatile player and worse defender because you don't want to see BBD take jumpshots that his coach wants him taking? ::)  Those shots will be golden in the playoffs if/when the consistency comes and I believe consistency will come because this was his game in college.

I think people are more enamored with Powe's story and wants to see him succeed (which I do as well).  Picking Baby over Powe doesn't mean Powe hasn't succeeded.  Hopefully no choice will have to be made, because I like both, but BBD is becoming more versatile, while Powe hasn't improved his game at all.

he's actualy shooting that jumper fairly well for a bench player, and it helps the bench spread the floor alot.

There's alot of things i don't like about BBD game. a developing 15 ft jumper is not one of them.

Honestly, the more I watch, the more I want to keep them both.  I think they compliment each other very well, and if the C's can add in a long big man, they could have a very strong 5 man big rotation.

Obviously, it all comes down to cost, but if they are both looking at small contracts (which looks like the case at the moment), I would try to keep both of them.

I would rather keep both, but would keep Powe over Davis for the reason that he is in better physical condition and I think that will allow him to remain in the league longer....if you are talking long term....

Ultimately it may come down to what the other team wants, for the player DA wants.  If you are going to trade either, then both are   available.  One is not dramatically better than the other.

That said, there is some risk that we are presuming that a taller big would naturally be better than BBD/Powe.  As DA noted when POB was brought on board, he may be about as long as you get, and we seem to need length, but he still may have a difficult time getting time from BBD/Powe.  Be careful what you wish for, you might wish you had appreciated more, what you had.

I believe it's called a set shot if you're feet never leave the ground :)

I'd love if that was the case, but he actually jumps.

but who would you pick if you had to choose only 1??

Powe has disappointed me lately with forcing his shots on offesne. He doesn't know when to pass either

10 more pounds less and i know that big baby will be one heck of a bench player if he is not starting to become one
