This is the third or fourth time they shut down on us over the last few years.

The Chicago game at home in 2007.

The Toronto game where we missed Ray Allen's buzzer beater last year.

And a good portion of the 3rd quarter?

I don't know if it's a CSN or a New England issue because other channels don't have these annoying interruptions during the game where the video signal goes blank on other NBA channels and I have league pass.

I live in Maryland. Yes, the video feed was lost during the 3rd quarter for me as well.  It's a comcast issue.

Missing the ray allen buzzer beater sucked.  This time we missed a whole quarter.  You'd think they could fix the problem quicker.  On the whole though, I'm very satisfied with comcast.  We get every game in beautiful hd.  Someone just told me that on Verizon Fios they either don't get the road games at all or they don't get them in hd.  Not sure if thats accurate.

verizon sucks my a##...i switched back to Direct TV from FIOS.  After dealing w/their customer support for 3 months i said forget this...plus they only have a fraction of what Direct TV does in HD channels.

Verizon is a service carrier, not the broadcast channel.  Comcast just happens to own the channel the Celtics are broadcast on, but they are also a carrier - like Direct TV.
Yup

I have Fios, and I only get home games in HD.  For some reason, Fios customers get Standard def Comcast Sports Net without a problem, but the Comcast Sports Net HD channel (ch. 577) only comes in during C's home games (with a little pre and post game as well).  If there is no C's home game the channel doesn't show anything.  So if you have Fios in Massachusetts, you have to watch road games (or any other CSN programming) in Standard def (ch. 77).  I don't know if it has anything to do with Verizon and Comcast being competitors, but it is a likely reason.

DirecTV is pretty good, but pretty expensive.

It's like some 80+ dollars per month just for the Sports Pack  with local channels and second receiver.

Add in the 40+ bucks per month for NBA league pass and your putting up over 100 bucks per month.

Fios sounds terrible as far as the celts are conscerned.  I'm so used to hd broadcasts now, I can't tolerate standard definition.  Thats why I don't get the League Pass anymore.  The games all look terrible.

direct tv is good.  i switched not too long ago and am saving almost $50 a month compared to comcast.

the issue last night was with comcast sports net, not the cable provider.

Maybe they should stop worrying about Cousy and start fixing their [dang] production equipment. Second rate operation for now.

i think comcast has a good product, both in-game and pre-game/post-game.  every once in a while they have production issues, but it isnt a common thing.  last night was terrible though, as we missed an entire quarter. i dont know for sure, but i assume they dont have any more production issues per season, as other markets' production of games.

  • The good ole days.
I hate Comcast because they seem to be the very worst run organization and have the customer service abilities of a 1 year old.
