I probably would have been more annoyed if the BC game weren't on - the game coincidentally came back on right when the BC game ended.

Wow really?  I've been sending angry e-mails to the NBA for 4 years complaining that they don't pick up any of the league pass games in HD.  It's annoying.  Seriously on an HD television some of those Celtics games look like they are directly fed via webcast.  Terrible quality.

Maybe I should start complaining to Comcast instead.

my wife and i just bought a new house in May (our first)...we decided to go with directv for the first time ever...trust me, it's great.  the picture quality is outstanding and the HD options are numerous.  the league pass comes in HD and if you're a basketball junkie, it's a must.  you won't regret it.

Do you lose the picture often though?  Maybe I just have bad luck, but over the last 6 months or so, I have gone to bars on 4-5 different ocassions where they lost their Direct TV reception.

wow that's awesome.  I'll have to consider direct tv again.  I used to have it but on some of the rainy days there were too many cut-outs to watch a game.  But that was several years ago.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
I have a question, I live in New York and am thinking about getting a satellite cable service. Some of the sports packs have both CSN New England and NESN listed, does anyone know if these channels are also in HD in these sports packs? Basically I am wondering if I can just pick up the Boston channels in HD with a cheaper sports pack, rather than paying the price of a more expensive League pass package. Watching games over the slingbox is getting old, thanks in advance.

to respond to the last couple comments:

- we've lost our picture a small handful of times, and it's always weather-related (hard rain storms).  we live in the tampa, fl area, so those rains can be pretty heavy (ha!).  i can't tell you about snow, however.  :)

- of the "sports package" surprisingly enough the CSN channel was just added in HD around 2-3 weeks ago.  great news for us celtics fans.  most of the channels are not in HD, but they're worth it if you like watching events from different areas of the U.S.
