Who cares if you wear a suit, if you watch and follow the game passionately, that's all that matters. While I can't offer any solutions for a non C's Pacer's game, if it is a game involving the Celtics, here is your solution.

Is that Joe Forte?

It actually looks kind of like a young Paul Pierce.

That could be Pierce's freshman formal picture. ;D

I thought it was just me that saw that.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
No problems with the suit.  But the Smits jersey?? ... suspect.

The old pinstriped Smits jersey was bought secondhand for $1.  As an avid collector of awful/obscure jerseys, this one quickly made it into my top 5.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Yeah same, $1 that's a bargain.

Fine with the suit.  People work.  It's totally understandable.  Not all of us can head down a few hours early dressed head to toe in Celtics gear.  A lot of us that go to the games go straight from work.  No time to change.

Loosen up the tie, though.   ;)

I always wear a suit because David Stern told me to.  No, I'm the same way as you champ.  I have to sport the suit because I go straight to the game.  I would be more worried that people actually think you are a Pacers fan.  That is unjustifiable.

If the C's are in town, you're wearing Walter McCarty?!? I'm kind of teasing you a little bit, but....but....really? Walter McCarty? Still? Eh...ok.

Well, if that's the case, then I'll open up negotiations for my Kedrick Brown jerseys.  That's right, plural - jerseyS.  I've got #42 and #5.  They're authentic at least.

The Walter McCarty jersey gets the nod over the Dana Barros jersey every game.  There's a lot of history there - I don't think I've seen the C's play without it, although their overall record has a winning percentage of somewhere around .333.

The bad jersey collection is at about 20, with gems from all sports like:

Elvis Grbac
Rick Mirer
Tariq Abdul-Wahad
Mike Gminski(!)
Dana Barros
Chris Canty (Pats DB)
...and many more that I can't remember right now.

For the record, I'm not a Pacers fan, but I can appreciate what Bird is doing with the team, and I've always enjoyed watching Jim O'Brien's teams play.  There's also the slight hope that the Pacers sneak in for the 8th seed in the East and play the Celtics in the playoffs, and then I'd be guaranteed my seats.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

I definitely see some Pierce there ... also some Beetlejuice from Howard Stern's wack pack.

From what I've seen of Pierce's fashion taste I can't say he wouldn't wear it to somewhere other than a costume party.

Well, at the same time, I'm not a huge Pacers fan.  I'm more there for the love of the game than the love of the team.  So if Roy Hibbert gets viciously blocked by Sam Dalembert, I'm going to applaud the great play rather than sulk.  I wouldn't be obnoxious about it, and if the Pacers are down 3 with possession and under a minute to play, I'm going to be standing and yelling.

I'd say I cheer about as much as the normal fan there, but no one's too excited about the season yet.  Sadly, this year Conseco is one of the more quiet arenas I've been to.  Still, does this make me seem like the corporate fan that's helping to price out the die hard fans from watching games live?

Again, it depends on the individual.  I think the fact that you're a frequent contributor on a pro sports based blog it's safe to say that you are a knowledgeable and enthusiastic fan.

There are a few corporate type people out there who are indeed legit fans as well.
Actually, there are a lot.
