That 3rd and 15 play was just like that catch in last year's superbowl. But really, they lost the game in the first half, not the second.

Tough loss for the Pats, but I think each week Cassel grows more confident, and almost equally important, I think his teammates are growing more confident in his as well.  That play to Moss at the end of the 4th was amazing.

Btw, does anyone know off-hand what the 2nd tie-breaker is for the division?  I'm guessing it's division record, which the Pats are 2-2 and the Jets are 3-1.  If so, then the Pats just need to hold serve in there final 2 division games and hope either Buffalo or Miami can take one from the Jets.

But even if they don't win the division, hopefully they can get a wild card berth, because I truly believe they can beat any team in the AFC.  Obviously, it's not like last year where they could play a subpar game and still come out on top, but I don't see any overally dominant teams in the AFC, or the league for that matter, even with the Titans undefeated record.  Although that defense is definately for real.

Yes, Cassel definitely grows from week to week.  Now he knows he can run the 2-minute drill.  Pats loss to the Jets last night makes next week game against Miami very important to win (three months ago, I never thought I would say such a thing).
Celtics fan for life.

Much like the Super Bowl that game would have been a hell of a lot more enjoyable as a neutral football fan.  It was a very exciting game with some fine athletic plays and some really hard hitting (hello MAYO!).  Unfortunately the final outcome was a loss for the team I was rooting for.
Yup

Can Jerrod Mayo now be certified as the absolute steal of last year's draft being picked at #10?

I think he will easily be the DROY and could be a Pro Bowler as early as next year. The kid is lightening fast, hits like a Mack truck, has a football IQ that is through the roof and has a Bruschi-esque nose for the ball.

Quite the player and an absolute brilliant pick last year.

Mayo was incredible last night.

The combination of his speed and a sick football IQ (for a rookie), could make him a defensive star on this team for years to come.

I love how the commentators had to act like the defense let Farve down. He had so many chances to ice the game and continued to blow it. So overated. Im ****ed that we lost but I guess I can't  bash our skeleton crew defense too much.
Overrated? I've watched him play his entire career and make plays that other QB's dream about. Does he make mistakes that drove us packer fans nuts, of course. But to say that the guy who leads practicaly every state all time is overrated is crazy. Don't be ticked that a 39 year old QB beat you.
Back to wanting Joe fired.
