Pass me a binky, someone please!

Unfortunately it was only during commercials and half time, but I finally got a chance to see Rudy Fernandez play a bit tonight.  Wow!

He is one exciting player.  I caught the end of the game vs. the Heat tonight (flipping over after Pierce's heroics).  He scored 11 points in the 4th quarter and hit a beautiful arcing spin shot from just inside the top of the key in a 4 point game.

TP to anyone who can grab video of that shot.  Just a peach.
Yup

That spin shot was incredible, wasn't it?  Jon Barry, watching the replay, said "that is gorgeous!!"  Indeed, Barry Boy.  It was gorgeous.

I'm trying to think of anyone even attempting that sort of shot in a long, long time and I can't think of one.

I have a feeling he is going to be one of the most popular players in the NBA sooner rather than later.  He just is so fun to watch.

Agreed.  Rudy is fun to watch.  I saw a bit of that game and came away thinking... man, I wish Danny had bought that draft pick instead of Portland!
Celtics fan for life.

Yeah I'll jump on the Rudy bandwagon he's a good player and fun to watch. The whole Portland team are fun to watch.

His performance during the Olympic Games was a pretty good preview. The NBA style suits him prerfectly.

There are many good players but few are fun to watch.

For some reason it wasn't included in the 2:30 minute highlights or Top 10 on NBA.com.

Any video of it?

I'm playing in six fantasy leagues, and have Rudy in five of them.

Love this kid.

(And [dang] you, Chris, for taking him in the staff league!)

I'm a life-long Celtics fan (born in Boston), but I live in Portland and have been to several Blazer games this year. I love this kid so much that I'm planning on actually buying some Rudy/Blazers apparel (probably a t-shirt) - it would be the first non-Celtics NBA apparel I've ever owned.

Watching him live in person is way more exciting that seeing him on TV because you can't really appreciate how active he is with limited TV camera perspectives.

I think I also have a connection with him because I lived in Spain for two years. !Viva Espana! Anyhow, the man crush is definitely on!
