He played 35 minutes and banged down 13 points on decent shooting with 12 rebounds. Go Gerald Go!!!! Good to see him finally 'getting it.'

Yeah his team lost but it's nice to see him being given a chance, and taking it.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
...and his team lost.

Now it seems like you want him to fail. Not a good look...

I am really shocked, he has to be putting in the work to be starting. I don't think Carlisle would allow a slacker to start. Keep it up Gerald.

Actually, Carlisle has allowed a slacker to start, it's just that slacker had a good game. Now if he can start like that the whole season and play consistently well, maybe he won't be a slacker anymore.

Yes, but the Mavs lost yet again.  I'm waiting for a night when GG plays significant minutes and the Mavs actually win the game.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I'm encouraged to see Gerald attempting to do things other than score.  He's got a size and leap advantage over most players in the league, and he should use it to be a force on the boards.  Glad to see he's learning; he can still develop into a decent role player in this league.

Dallas and San Antonio are pretty bad. Both teams have terrible benches. The West is overated. I know the Spurs are hurting with injuries, but even with Parker and Ginobili that team has a terrible bench.

After Utah, LA Lakers,Houston, and New Orleans the other 4 playoff teams are overated. Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio are all on the downhill slide.

I am glad to see him having success in Dallas. I see no reason to unduly criticize him. We did the right thing by dumping him. Even if he becomes a legitimate NBA player, we needed guys who could contribute now in our system. We only had 1 project last year - pruitt - and he was our pick that year. It is hard to imagine Gerald getting any floor time last year with PP, Ray, Posey, and TA.

I agree.

I truly wish him well.
