I knew that there has been some animosity in recent months between ESPN and Bill Simmons.  The hiring of Rick Reilly seemed to bring it to another level.  Anyways, reading today's Will Leitch article on WEEI.com makes it sound like things are getting worse.  Its an interesting read.

Simmons clearly doesn't like money, because if he did he would have left ESPN ages ago for a company who would pay him much much more (he attracts so many page hits per day it's probably scary). Additionally, his personal blog makes him 0 money when he could have a personal blog which makes him a plethora of money.

All in all, cudos to BS for sticking it out with ESPN despite clearly being unhappy there. He should demand a trade, or better yet simply say "play me or trade me".

well, following it on deadspin, it seems ESPN reneg'ed on its promises. It promised him pretty much total control over his subject choices, and creative control, and now thats vanished.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I wonder if he'll ask for a buyout. I understand that we couldn't possibly pay him to come over here, but maybe he'll accept the vet minimum. Its like, why take more money for a losing team, when you can work for a winner? Doesn't winning matter to this guy?

Wait....are we talking about Antonio McDyess or Bill Simmons...I just confused myself...

Are we lowering those non-existent standards for Bill?

But maybe if Simmons leaves ESPN, there will be an opening on Page 2 for Steve.  I can just picture it now, going to Page 2 and seeing a pic of Oscar the Grouch staring back at me from the main page.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Steve don't do it! I really think we should offer Steve the 4th year at the full MLE. Its when Roy's contract is up, wide load was just extended, and Redz has really been coming along.

Redz didn`t work enough over the offseason, imo. He`s still out of shape and has foul trouble. With 30 pounds less, he could elevate much better. He also has to learn to hit the open jumper with consistency.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I think we need to trade Redz for Antoine.  Redz is clearly on the decline, a shell of his former self.  The Redz we have today isn't the All-Star caliber redzdeadbabyredzdeadbaby from past seasons.  We need to trade him while he still has some value.

I recently read a half paragraph by 17 year old European literary sensation Benoz Litibiskichi.... I think if we packaged Redz and SW together we can pick him up with the #1 pick.
