This is just been me personally, i've been consumed by the political elections, i was very disinterested in the baseball playoffs too which is my first and major passion, this site was one of my first sites to check during the season but its slipped to like 10th behind many polling websites, and yes i do keep a ranking system in my head

Also the new site has actually brought me too the site a little bit more, although the season would have done that anyway, just trying to figure it all out

I do most of my logging in in brief 10-15 minute spurts at work, and I haven't been able to take the time to get setup on the new webpage since then.  Can't say I'm too keen on it so far, but I'm sure it will grow.  The last change to CB had the same effect on me.

Oh, and things are new and therefore inherently bad.

edit:  Oh, that's my first post on the new CB... glad to see the TPs and post counts made the transition.

You're right, Roy. It's been very quiet on here lately. Maybe some posters couldn't find the 'forums' link on the right. Aha.

One thing I don´t like is that the "latest posts" are not on the forum page, it only shows "latest topics".

"Latest posts" is a much better feature than "latest topics", since it makes the forum much more interactive. You can write a post in "Where is everybody", for example, and once you´re done, you can see which topic has a new post and move on to that thread.
Currently, you´d have to go back to the main page, which is not very user-friendly.

IMO, that´s a big part of why the forums became so silent.

That, and the fact that the "latest post" widget had less exposure on the front page in the last days.

seconded, the widgit on the front page doesn't refelct the active topics.

Yeah, that's unfortunately a bi-product of the front page and forums not being bridged, yet.  We're trying to get the front page to update more quickly, but it will probably lag behind the forums for the near future.  Still, SBN is actively working on it.

I have no doubt that they do.
I`ve just tried to articulate what I think was the reason for the drop in activity.

as someone who's activity has steadily declined over the last couple months, i figured i could shed light on why i havent posted much.

1- this offseason was brutally uneventful in terms of being able to discuss things about the team.  imo, the threads were very mundane, repetitive, and didnt interest me.

2- with the season starting up and being a season ticket holder, getting hom late from games and having to get up early for work the next morning takes time away from free time used on the blog.

3- as eluded to earlier in the thread, i am vry interested in the presidential election and am using alot of my free time watching the news

4-  just busy in general
