One thing I don´t like is that the "latest posts" are not on the forum page, it only shows "latest topics".
"Latest posts" is a much better feature than "latest topics", since it makes the forum much more interactive. You can write a post in "Where is everybody", for example, and once you´re done, you can see which topic has a new post and move on to that thread.
Currently, you´d have to go back to the main page, which is not very user-friendly.
IMO, that´s a big part of why the forums became so silent.
That, and the fact that the "latest post" widget had less exposure on the front page in the last days.
seconded, the widgit on the front page doesn't refelct the active topics.
Yeah, that's unfortunately a bi-product of the front page and forums not being bridged, yet. We're trying to get the front page to update more quickly, but it will probably lag behind the forums for the near future. Still, SBN is actively working on it.
no biggie, once your on the forums, its fine.
I think the only complaient i have is ecoh'ed by Yall, the forums seem to be the "we have these too!" of SBnation, not the focus.
I know thats not the case, but it just seems that way. in time, we'll all get used to it

i also don't like how the main page has a very "nba.com" feel to it now, as it links me news from other teams blogs. i don't care abotu those teams. i only want to see CB staff articles on the main page.
again, i think this is one of thsoe "you'll get used to it" things, but right now, with the way everythings linked up, it feels like the celticsblog homepage is a skin for SBnation's news links, rather than a unique site mainpage on its own...if that makes an sense at all.
but mostly, i think, to qoute redz "i just hate change"
