If you could take the attributes of any player from the past or present in the NBA and create a frankenstein basketball player what would you choose?  You can use only Celtics or parts from anyone that ever played the game.

Brain - Bill Russell
Eyes - Steve Nash
Mouth - Gary Payton (no one talked trash better)
Hands - Rondo
Wrist - Ray Allen
Body - LeBron
Feet - Hakeem Oljauwon
Heart - KG
Arms - Dwight Howard

You can add other attributes if you want as well.  Those were just the ones that came to mind.

Brain - John Stockton
Eyes - Magic Johnson
Mouth - KG
Hands - Paul Millsap ( I swear they are the best I've ever seen)
Wrist - Pistol
Body - KG
Feet - Hakeem Oljauwon
Heart - Iverson

Your question has prompted me to go make this guy in NBA 09, and start the life with him, what should I name him?

  • Let's Go Celtics
I'd pair LeBron's body with Ray Allen's shot, Larry's court vision and work ethic, KG's intensity, Bill Russell's teamwork and shot blocking, LeBron's dunking skills, Stockton's ball handling, and Magic's enthusiasm.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

OK, in a throwback to a previous posting of my own.... this is my perfect player:

Brain - Stephen Hawkings
Eyes - The Predator's... he's got heat vision, infrared, etc.
Mouth - Actually... Gary Payton fits here.
Hands - Franz Liszt (tp if you know who this is WITHOUT looking him up)
Wrist - You know that guy in "the fly" that Jeff Golblum snaps his arm when they are arm wrestling? Not him.
Kung Fu style - Tiger.
Body - Giselle.
Feet - Michael Jackson circa 1984.
Heart - Chuck Norris.
Arms - An octopus.
Claws - Wolverine.  Basketball players of the future need claws.

How about the Complete NBA Cancer.

Body: Eddy Curry
Ego: Stephon Marbury
Addiction: Tie between Shawn Kemp and Vin Baker
Work Ethic:  Allen Iverson (hes a respectable guy, but c'mon guys practice?)
Coach-ability: Latrell Spreewell
Attitude: Jalen Rose
Conscience:  Ricky Davis
Hunger to Win:  Vince Carter
Laziness:  Mark Blount
Contract: Allan Houstons

I seriously have nothing against the Knicks, but I just looked at the list and 6 of those players are either currently or have at one point spent time with the New York Knicks.

Feel the free to add to the list!  :)

Why Ray Allen's wrists?

Why Ray Allen's wrists?

I think he has the most beautiful jump shot, and IMO the jumper begins and ends in wrist action.  I just think his release and follow through are picture perfect.
