Marcus Banks was the next Iverson
Jiri Welsch was the next Hondo
Brandon Hunter/Big Baby/Powe was the next Barkley (that's not a knock on Powe. He's a solid backup)
Orien Greene was the next Jason Kidd
I think at one point Chris Herron was the next Stockton
I have never said any of those things. And the point is that you called Pruitt a "bum" after some solid preseason showings.
Consider that Rondo struggled his first year, and in his second year became the starting PG of a championship team and will likely elevate his game even more in year 3.
It's not far fetched to think that Pruitt will make good strides in his second year.
The only problem I have with what you're saying is that you seem to ENJOY being the wet blanket that likes to call our young players 'bums'.
I am wary of TA, and I am not 100% sure that Pruitt will pan out, or even Walker. But I am pleased by the positive signs I'm seeing so far from our young guys.
I don't happen to enjoy raining down negativity on everybody else's excitment. But hey if you get off on that, keep bringing the he's a no talent 'bum' tirades.
Since so many NBA prospects don't pan out, I'm sure it makes you think you're 'smart' when they don't. But in fact it doesn't make you look smarter than anyone else, it just makes you look like a killjoy.
As Rick Pitino famously said, the negativity in boston stinks and it sucks. Fans like you vindicate his famous quote.
