Those bad teams would have been infinitely better had Walker not played on them.
You should do stand-up.

If the value of his contract was filled by a quality player of max value and just any ordinary power forward played instead of him, we would have won many more games.
Interesting analysis...But while Walker wasn't the "perfectly-ordinary PF" that you wanted, his impact on this franchise cannot be measured in mere stats. He brought hope to this franchise after being such an afterthought for years following Reggie's death. He gave Fans something to cheer for and pretty much started the Celtics back toward relevancey. Sure he couldn't do it by himself and needed Paul but look at the teammates he had back then!! And also, even MJ couldn't do it himself without Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Kukoc, and others....
How can fans just conveniently forget how agonizing a player he was?
We haven't. We know he puts the "IN" in IN-consistency....but some of us just plain didn't care 'cause he busted his azz out there trying to win every game and EFFORT, DESIRE, AND PASSION are traits we Boston Fans RESPECT And WANT out of our Players.
He literally was hated by all fans wherever he played.
He was hated here, in Dallas, and Miami.
NewsFlash : REALGM Forums are not the place to properly gauge Fans' opinions on players. I didn't hear any boos when he helped lead Boston back to the Playoffs when he came back that one year...I didn't hear any boos when he helped Miami win the NBA Title...
Give me a break, man. You hate the guy? Fine. But don't assume that everyone shares your viewpoint 'cause you'll be very surprised if you do believe that.
He's been in Atlanta, Minny, and now Memphis.
He wanted OUT of Dallas and Mark Cuban(who wanted him back) reluctantly agreed to make his wish come true. If he wanted to stay, He would've still been in Dallas. In retrospect, I'm happy that he left 'cause it would not have ended with him winning a title with Miami. Speaking of Miami, he was thrown out of Miami and landed in Minny 'cause he was the "Fall Guy" for the body-fat nonsense whereas Shaq was supposed to be the REAL target(Riley was too chickensh*t to do anything to Shaq). OH and they got Ricky Davis and Blount for him....How'd THAT Trade Work out? EXACTLY.
And finally, he ends up in Memphis via being basically traded alongside Top Draft Picks and I think OJ Mayo is eons better the player that Kevin Love is.
How did that happen?
Maybe you clicked your ruby-red slippers stating 'There's no place like home' and PRESTO!

How does everyone here forget what a miserable game he had?
Why are you repeating yourself? Or is this a recording and that we should leave a message at the sound of the beep?
Nobody liked him when he was here at all and we all celebrated when he was traded.
Again...You're assuming too much. But whatever lets you sleep well at night, I guess.

Don't tell me different.
It's a little late for that, I'm afraid. In fact, I think I told you different about 50 times now.....
His haters far exceeded those few who liked him.
That is debatable AND you are AGAIN assuming something that is based solely on Opinion and not Fact.
He wasn't even a nice guy.
Now you're starting to be ridiculously foolish. One constant with Walker(aside from his inconsistant game) was his Personality. Now I don't know about Dallas but I do know that on the other teams'(Boston included) he's been on, he's been a very good lockerroom presence and the Players loved him.
Many of his statements still ring in my gut, the ---.You guys liked him? Good luck to you.
Care to elaborate what "statements"? Or is the "ringing in your gut" the result of eating too many Chili-Dogs? You Hate him? A "GOOD LUCK" To *YOU*.
