If we lose this game, I blame Redz for not starting the game thread!

There should be a law against TBS or TNT having broadcast rights to playoff games!!!

First, we had to watch ENDLESS Tyler Perry House of whatever commercials-along with Bill NOT FUNNY Engvall During the NBA Playoffs....NOW it's TONS of Fat guy impersonator promos.

Not having Tim McCarver makes it all worth it imo.

It should be 3-0, so I'll take a tie game.  It's not ideal, but it could and should be a lot worse.

This start by Beckett is basically suming up his year.  Very underwhelming and not that impressive.  Every once and awhile he would pitch that gem, but the majority of his starts this year have been like the one he's having tonight.

It was driving me nuts when espn and other red sox fans were saying "well we have Beckett in the playoffs which is a sure win."  No actually not.  If he had a mediocre season, why is he all of sudden gonna turn it around in the playoffs?

Joe Saunders was the pitcher I was most worried about anyway coming into this series.  He had a great year and is 3 and 0 at Fenway.  And also, we always seem to have trouble against lefty pitching.  The fact that we got 3 runs on a blown play was a gift and blessing.  Of course Josh Beckett gives it right back.

Well, yea your right, if it  weren't for the error of Kendrick and Howie, we'd still be scoreless, so yea, I'll take the tie. But I hope that last inning isn't a preview of the offense for the rest of the night.

I'm getting that feeling that Beckett is on the brink of destruction right now.  And I don't like that the middle of the order is up with 2 men on.

See what I mean?

If you think about it...this is what we should've really expected from Josh Beckett for this start if you look at his numbers for the regular season.  He's right at his ERA.

It's up to the offense now.  Pedroia, Ortiz, Lowell...even Youkilis...they need to start hitting.
