we COULD HAVE beat the celtics...HA! you didn't bibby, and you won't this year, either. i love these players that don't know how to just stop talking about something and let it go.

here's some news, bibby. you lost one of your key bench players, and have added absolutely NOTHING to the mix from last year. more news: you're another year older and are no longer in your prime. combine these factors, as well as the fact that the hawks have almost no fan base whatsoever until the posteason rolls around, and you're lucky to grab one of the last seeds in a relatively weak conference outside of the top 3 or 4 seeds.

yea, and i COULD have made the NFL.

but i didn't bibby, and neither did you and the hawks.

seriously, what a silly thing to say. anything CULD have happened, but it didn't. they got beat in 7.

He is right. I think ATL was the opponent that had the best chance to knock us out. Watch out for them this year.

I've been reading a lot of high hopes in the Atlanta papers over an improved Mike Bibby now that he's fully healthy this season. I think they're being a tad delusional but good luck to them.

I like the Hawks.  They are one of the more talented teams in the east IMO.  I also like how Bibby is trying to be a leader and get his young players fired up and confident for the season.  Thats just what they need.  I ALSO like how he is giving the C's even more bulletin board material for when we play them.  It will be a 30-piece at least I bet.

the hawks certainly gave us a scare and did FAR better than any1 ever expected.  for that i respected their efforts.  but, bibby should just focus on playing rather than bumping his gums.

I have to disagree. Cleveland was a much much harder to oust. Game 7 against Cleveland went down to the wire. Game 7 against Atlanta was a blowout.

Talented? I'll believe that when they have a winning record.

Tell me, Mike.  Which one of those games did your team have a snowball's chance in hell of winning?

no, atlanta was overly physical, but they didn't scare me. it's our nerves that almost blew it for us, IMO. i knew in my heart before the playoffs started that cleveland would be our biggest issue, but other than that, i wasn't scared of anyone, including the lakers. you could say i overestimated our team, but you'd be wrong, cuz they did exactly what i expected.

they lost childress, who if you remember, seemed to cause quite a few problems for us in that series. bibby doesn't put them over the top, maybe a couple of years ago, but not now.

anyways, as far as athleticism goes, i'll take the bobcat's team any day of the week. now that they have a better coach at the helm, i expect (at least hope) that they'll be able to grab the 8th seed in the east. actually, i hope they grab the 7th, cuz i don't wanna play them in the first round  ;)
