Walker Training Video w/ CDR, OJ mayo,Dujuan Wagner. Missed this one earlier. Know it has been around; but did not see it referenced anywhere previously.

CDR & Mayo may have a better stroke from outside; but toward the end Walker is consistently dunking with two steps from just inside the foul line, while the others are doing layups. He looks much more explosive and perhaps in better shape. Lets hope he can get it back. CDR seems more of a 2 guard, which may explain why we passed on him (giddens is a more complete player and more NBA ready).

I suppose it's this one:

I remember watching this video when it was published. Mostly because it was the one that prompted my doubts and concerns about CDR. He's slightly slower than the other guys executing the drills.

I don't get why the trainer was instructing them to travel on that last drill.  I realize they're getting ready for the NBA, but don't make it too obvious.  ;)

Well, I see them both as scoring swingmen. I think CDR's NBA position will be SG, same as Mayo (who I can't see being an effective PG).

The problem I have with CDR is that he's not that great of an athlete, not a very good shooter and, as one can see in that video, his dribbling is quite high and loose. He looked more quick and better playing under Calipari's system than he actually is, I think. After looking at his game during the tournament with further detail, I became very suspicious about his potential to have a NBA career. I think he'll struggle to translate his skillset to the pros and will need to become a very focused and smart defender to overcome his lack of quickness.

I understand you're jocking here, but there's actually an awful lot of comments saying the exact same thing about that drill on youtube. It may look that way, but there is no travel violation on that last drill.

As for Walker dunking, I wouldn't read to much on it. All the other guys could do it quite easily. And his shooting mechanics are so bad it's painful to watch. I'm hoping he has improved his game a lot during this Summer; he wasn't a NBA player when the college season finished.

Sorry for the difficulty with the link to the video. TP for the fix.

I agree with everything only at the end. Both Pierce and Walker have amazing extension that allows them to slice to the basket for a dunk. None of the others doing the drill show anywhere near the explosiveness or the extension that Walker does. He also is starting further back than the others on a couple of occasions.

November 9th, Walker vs. Maxiell cage match in Detroit!  Is the Rook ready to bang with the pros?  Boston's off-season infusion of youth and athleticism looks to make them a head-ache for the rest of the league once again.

Man this off-season is boring.  One good thing about the off-season...

Boston Herald leaves the box score of the last game up all year long!

Go Celts!
"You're skating on pretty thin ice around here, McGee!"
"Sounds like the ice's problem."

2 for the Show!
GO CELTS!

You can pick up your pivot foot. You just can't put it back down.

They want the guys to show their footwork.
