We had 44 voters for the Eastern Conference. Results are as follows:
Atlantic:
New Jersey 1.93
New York 2.34
Philadelphia: 3.25
Toronto: 3.45
Boston: 4.02
Southeast:
Orlando: 2.26
Charlotte: 2.43
Atlanta: 2.55
Washington: 3.62
Miami: 4.14
Central:
Detroit: 2.42
Chicago: 2.74
Cleveland: 2.88
Milwaukee: 3.37
Indiana: 3.58
Looking at these results, I'm shocked at how bunched they were, especially in the Central and Southeast. Looking at the individual votes, it seems as though some people may have been confused about how to rank teams. Additionally, there were some suspicious looking votes, although it was difficult to determine what teams benefited most from the relatively small number of odd ballots.
So, it's official. The Eastern Conference division winners are New Jersey, Detroit, and Orlando, which sounds right to me. All other playoff teams, as well as seeding of division winners, will be determined by a separate vote to be conducted shortly.
