ok, so gamefly is finally bringing me madden 09, and in the intrests of having fun, im not picking the patriots. (there a 98 overall, no challange= no franchise fun)

so, based mostly on uni's, which of the following would you guys take?

raiders
dolphins
chiefs
falcons

Those are the worst rated teams, should be fun to build them up heh.

I'd pick the Raiders. Just because I like McFadden and Russell. They should be a fun team to play with.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

No and no on Miami and the Chiefs.  As BigAl alludes to, JaMarcus could be a really fun video game quarterback with the Raiders.  But I wouldn't count the Falcons out either - as with McFadden, Michael Turner's got plenty of upside, too.

Yeah, its between the Falcons and Raiders. They both have young quarterbacks, running backs, and they both have one good receiver to throw to. (Joe Horn and Javon Walker)

But I'd still go with the Raiders.

Yeah, I'll say the Raiders, as well, unless you're a particularly big B.C. / Matt Ryan fan.

If your playing with the Madden IQ skill level thing on, don't be afraid to be the Pats.  If you do well, it ratchets up the difficulty pretty fast.  All-madden is a serious challenge in my opinion.  The AI for the defense I find to be particularly tough, especially running the ball.  I managed to trade marooney for AP and I can still hardly run it with the Pats.

Compared to NCAA, Madden seems significantly more difficult IMO.

Raiders are actually really good in the video game and I've easily won 5 outta 6 games with them online playing guys that were with winning records. IN a franchise you could very well win a super bowl in your first year with the Raiders playing on ALL Madden.  I'd go possibly with the Falcons or Chiefs for the biggest challenge.  Dolphins are a lost cause haha.

i picked this up for the regular xbox...it is a TON more fun to play than the 360 version.  yeah, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but the gameplay is more crisp.

They still make games for the regular XBOX?

yep...picked it up at bestbuy for 39.99...xbox live is still doing updated rosters for this as well (i have the week 3 update).  MUCH better than the 360 version.

I can not accept that the xbox version is better than the 360 version, that's like the Al Jefferson Celtics being better than the KG Celtics.

Go with the Raiders.

i dunno man, im loving the 360 version.

my only complaint? how in the heck are team ratigns determined? because the raiders are nasty.

they are a 70 overall. ok. lets look at thier roster.

QB-86
HB- 2 85's
FB- 81
WR- two 85+
TE-75
line- lowest guy is a 78, high is a 90.

so...i know its not the pats, but were really good on offense.

it must be the defense dragging this thing down right?

DL- 84,85,87,70
LB- 3 80's and a 75

ok, so were looking like a bad defenseive team here, mabey this is why were worth our 70. but wait...

CB- 95! :o and a 93! :o with a 87 as the NB
SS-88
FS-89

now, far be it from me to call you a lair john madden, but on ratings alone, this team is pretty good. its certainly not a 70.

also, could we overrate rookies anymore? i like mcfadden but a 85 to start? really?

the cowboys have a late 2nd round WR thats rated as an 84.

$39.99 for the regular XBOX is pretty expensive. I was expecting it to be $29.99 or $24.99 since its the regular XBOX.
