One of my favorite old time black and white movies, Cool Hand Luke. If you never saw it, it's a pretty great movie.

Quality film, Paul Newman is a great actor.

And according to the gang at Cheers, the sweatiest movie ever made. I believe Diane's fiance Sumner Sloan mentioned it and they all agreed :)

Two great memories from that movie.  Newman sucking on a rock, and the egg eating contest.

I've taken to occasionally using the phrase "back in the box" to sending my daughter back to her room when she has not yet calmed down from a timeout.
Yup

I remember the series as well, which was great in these movies days.the was originally made I think in the 60s, but the new version was even better in 93. That is, action, romance, mystery and how it can go wrong with these two great actors.

A great movie that didn't get much play is City Island, with Andy Garcia, from last year or the year before.....very funny.

"The Secaucus Seven" (I'm a big John Sayles fan)was remade into the much more marketable "The Big Chill" with 10 times the star power, 10 times the money, and a tenth of the realism and connection.

Zodiac is one of my favorites too, a shame it didn't do so well in the theaters and get the recognition is deserves.  I think the length (2h 40m) and the fact people were expecting a different type of movie (it's more of a procedural crime thriller and not a slasher flick) scared a lot of people off.  It never seemed that long to me though, and I thought the cast did some great work.

Just a short list:

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang: criminally underrated.  Both Downey Jr and Kilmer are terrific.  Very entertaining.

Dead Alive:  One of Peter Jackson's first movies.  Very very very gory and over-the-top violent.  Great movie to watch with friends and a couple of drinks.

[REC]:  Spanish horror film.  Very well made.  Was remade in America as "Quarantine" but the original is better.  Apparently the sequel is pretty bad though.

Memento:  I thought this was a pretty well-known movie, but I've been shocked to find a lot of my friends haven't seen it or even heard of it.  One of Christopher Nolan's first, and an excellent mind-bender of a film.

The Running Man:  Not really a good movie at all, but a fun, ridiculous 80s Schwarzeneggar flick.  This and Commando seem to have been forgotten over the years, which is a shame.

Jacob's Ladder:  I'm not giving anything away, just watch it.

The movie that i have never seen is:
Casino Jack and the United States of Money: It is a documentary movie that based upon democracy. It was best on the basis of its story line.
