And no, I'm not a Googlite, I'm just Good.

Who patched that negative TP hole again?

yw ;)
I did. You didn't even know what software we were running and provided a so called patch that had absolutely no relevance to anything code we use around here. Take it off-site and stop trying to bait me here. This is about the third or fourth time you've done it, it's not what this site is about and it's not fun any more. Take it off-site and show me something you've done besides steal common hacks and talk big talk?

I'm going to repeat Bob's words for emphasis; there's no need to attempt to get under his skin.  He's good at what he does, and Celticsblog is much more complex than you seem to realize or give credit for.

As for the negative TP thing, you're lucky you're still here.  Messing with other members' accounts in a way that was clearly contrary to the intentions of the staff is unacceptable, and if something similar happens in the future, you won't be posting here any more.

Geez, relax Bob.  I actually tried to send you a PM, but was unable to....

I think you are mistaken that it's the 3rd or 4th time, as I've never spoken with you before.

In any case, you are running Joomla - I sent your mods a patch for the latest Joomla forums module and the problem was fixed shortly thereafter.  If not correct, which I doubt, it surely pointed you in the right direction, because the negative TP issue was left unchecked for a long, long time.

You could have sent *me* an offline message instead of publicly lambasting me and basically calling me a script kiddie.  Pretty funny, you are.  No common hacks here, I assure you.

I was simply being playful.  Apparently I struck a nerve.  Oh well, next time I know better.
God bless and good night!

Fair enough Roy, and for the record, who said I messed with anyone's account.  There was a thread talking about the issue, and I looked it up in the source and found it.

I'm sure it won't happen again, because it can't :)
God bless and good night!

Sure Chrome has bugs, but what do you expect from a beta version? ... the thing is work in progress...

#18 is coming...

Yes, but *all* of Google's services are "beta".  Gmail, Earth, Docs, etc. etc. etc.

Really, take a look, and find me one Google service that isn't "beta".

I agree with Bob's point about actualization, and having known many current/former Google employees I can attest that those in the trenches of the company have the best of intentions.

Larry, Sergei, and Eric, though, as well as the forces controlling them, I question.  I perceive shades of both 1984 and Brave New World, as paradoxical as that may be.

I am very much an internet dystopian.  The trend is very disturbing, and actually got quite a bit of air-time at OSCON this year.  In any case, Chrome, like all other Google products/services, will provide a very friendly user experience.  Just keep your third eye open to the possibilities of manipulation - they are very real and present.
God bless and good night!

Personally, I'm not dystopian about it all, but I would qualify that by saying...at least not yet. I am very sympathetic to that perspective. I think especially people who work in the web biz see some pretty scary stuff and more looming. There are some bad, bad people out there and some very bad things going on. I'm just grateful we do have a Linux and a strong Open Source community. Hopefully we will be able to continue to grow and won't get strangled by legislation and litigation.

Yes, and Joomla! It is quite similar to Ubuntu. Joomla is a phonetic spelling of a Swahili word that means, "All together!"
