After reading the top 10 NBA players list, I felt compelled to gather your opinions on this..Who do you think are the best 1 on 1 players in the game? Like say they all gathered at a gym and played 1 on 1..normal NBA rules apply.

Got to go with Kobe, Artest, LeBron, and Pierce as some of the top one on one players because of their above average skills both sides of the ball and perfect size.

Garnett and Dirk Nowitzki would be very tough because they are decent ball handlers and have size.

As for PGs I'd have to say Rondo would be up there, but I'd say Deron Williams and maybe Chris Paul would give him a run for his money.

1.  Kobe  (He's just got that killer instinct that noone could stop in a 1 on 1)
2.  LBJ   (Too strong and athletic for anyone to stop (except Kobe))     and Pierce ;D
3.  Iverson   (His handles and quickness are devastating.  I don't know who wouldn't get crossed up by him)
4.  DWade   (When healthy he can get to the hoop as well as anyone)
5.  TMac   (He can score so many different ways-also has to be healthy tho)

When I'm in the gym...I like to grunt when  I get my swell on... That way everyone can see how jacked and tan I am.

I firmly believe this.

Yeah, for current players. I don't know how good players like AI would be, because although they are near impossible to guard on offense, I can't see how they would play defense. I agree with what jojowhite said above, Kobe, Artest, LeBron, and Pierce would probably be up there.

i'm down with lebron, iverson, kobe, and d-wade. it depends who's guarding them. if pierce has the mid range going... not much you can do. the guy that actually tops my list is iverson. his quickness combined with his excellent shooting is just unstoppable.

Since we're talking hypothetically in a game of one on one, here if Shaq were to just stick his rear out and back in to the hoop then turn around and dunk  who on earth would be able to stop him?

If we're talking just two players on the court I'll take my chance with the big guy.  There are guys who could run circles around him on offense. but who would stop him?

If we're talking guys with one on one moves within the flow of a game I'm sticking with Iverson.  Rondo's got some pretty sweet moves too, but he needs to polish up on his finishing.
Yup

Shaq couldn't back down Lebron without putting some force into it, and once he did that Lebron could pull the chair out from under him.

Plus big guys cant resist hoisting up the three from time to time...

How about the best one on one moves/players at each position cause it's hard to have a C go against a PG.  One poster is right Shaq should win every time against a guard and that's no fun.

PG. With the way Tony Parker can score around the hoop he has to be right up there.  Love Iverson and Paul here as well.  For the quickness Rondo has he still has to learn to finish much better around the hoop.  Arenas is my sleeper, Billups would be great posting up other PGs however when it's all said and done my somewhat surprising pick if his game is clicking on all cylinders with his combined speed, height, power, and craftiness for a PG is Baron Davis.

SG I can't believe I have back to back Spurs in my discussion but Manu is just filthy around the hoop improvising with his left hand.  Can't forget about him.  Vinsanity would still be fun to watch.  TMac is right up there, Wade, even Ray Ray with his underrated dribbling ability, sleeper in Joe Johnson but in end it's all Kobe.

SF Our own PP has all the moves, headfakes, great footwork, loves to post, loves to slash, loves to shoot the J.  Paul can do it all one on one however Lebron's supreme athleticism is just too much to not put #1 here.  Butler, Artest, and Melo get some love here as well.

PF Big Al derserves to be in the disussion and don't laugh cause he is not a good team player by any stretch of the imagination but Zach Randolph has some skills in the post.  Bosh, KG, Gasol, Boozer, Wallace, Beasley, Amare, Dirk, David West lots of good  one on one PFs but come on now Tim Duncan is the modern day poster child for fundamental post player.  Nobody is stopping him one on one.

C 2 years ago I would have said Shaq but Yao Ming has surpassed him in purely going one on one.  Howard mostly brings the brute strength and athleticism and my sleeper here is Big Z.  The rest are pretenders but Oden and Bynum bring promise.

I'm not saying Sheed is better, but Sheed could take Duncan one-on-one.  He's strong enough to defend him on the post, has enough range that Duncan would have to respect, and is far quicker on his feet.  I actually don't think it would be close 1v1.
God bless and good night!
