Very interesting.  It looks like the C's are done for the offseason, and will likely decide as the season goes whether they need another center, and if so, who will go.

Well, Danny has at least made the preseason games worth the price of admission.

I agree Chris, preseason is going to be great, so many guys I want to see play: Miles, POB, Walker, Giddens, Pruitt.

Well I agree with the two posters above me. I hope, even though I love watching Paul, KG, and Ray play that they don't play more than 15 minutes in preseason. We know what they can offer, and I'm dying to see Pruitt, Giddens, Walker, Baby, and Powe or Patty Cakes on the floor together.

He's already got 12... Plus, it wouldn't be cool without that cloverleaf above the name  :P

Call me confused.

If Miles makes the team, who do the Celtics waive to sign the vet big man they said they need?   Or do they make a minor trade?

I'm glad to see walker in the fold too.

If need be,there are plenty of cut-able candidates if we need 1 more big.  ;D

heck

if walker's knees hold up, walker could turn into a good nba player, not a star but good.

if giddens gets his head on straight, the same. a good, not great, nba player.

if darius miles gets BOTH his knees and head in order, one more good, not great player.

this means that the celtics bench could become a real strength in a year or 2? if they do, then maybe maybe maybe they can start taking some of the minutes away from garrett and pierce. if so, then maybe maybe maybe those two could add 1-2 years to their playing career.

heck, i am terminally optimistic today. maybe the celtics window for winning championships will extend 1-2 years.

all that is fine with me. and giddens, walker, and miles cost the celtics almost nothing. good dealing by ainge once more.

I'm happy Walker was signed and the Walker-to-Europe talk can stop at least for a while.

Miles is the guy who will be fighting for a job in pre-season; if another big becomes available, he is the guy most likely to be cut.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see DA sign another person for training camp... just to create a little competition (has Kirk Snyder signed anywhere?)
Celtics fan for life.
