Jamaal did'nt have a great season last year. He has a solid career. He is only 30,and 6"11 career stats 8.7 Points and 7.2 Rebounds.
That would be a solid big. He might be cheap to.

He is a decent defender.  Nothing special.  He is a good rebounder though and he can score a little bit down low.  His main problem has always been his attitude.  He seems like he could care less about basketball and he just jogs up and down the court.  Kinda like a slightly better Mark Blount.

No thanks.

The Heat have him in town currently for a look see. I guess they want another statue that doesnt play much defense to put next to Blount. Magloire seems content to put out minimal effort just to get that NBA paycheck. He hasnt been really motivated since college IMO. Talented but very disappointing player. 8)

Magloire backing up Mark Blount?

Wow thats a recipe for success, should do wonders for the locker room.  Not to mention two highly motivated hard working big men for Michael Beasley to learn from.

Magloire or 0'Bryant...obviously too late to debate on who to sign, but if both in green this season, who would you rely(or expect) on more for minutes and production?

We have O'Bryant, we need a backup SF.

Pretty good assessment, and we've already signed one of those in Paddy O'Blount. The next big we bring in needs to be one interested in playing.

Agreed.  If the guy looked so terrible (on both ends of the court) with Jason Kidd feeding him last season, I'm not sure why they expect a rebirth this year.

What would the off-season be without a Jamaal thread?  Now I'm just waiting for someone to post the annual Toine thread.

There must be a reason that he can't stick anywhere with his size and ability.  I watched him in a C's game against the Bucks a few years back and when the ball went into him in the post, Magloire was more lost than any post player I've ever seen.

Those are just the ones that came up under the search "Antoine" - I didn't check for "Toin"

I'd still rather see Antoine make a 3rd Celtic comeback and this time get into shape instead of having Scalabrine taking the backup SF role.
