Off the back of SShoreFan2.0's successful clean joke thread, I decided to start a brain teaser thread. Like the clean joke thread, this could die a quick death or be a success.

To start it off:

Jack and Jill are lying dead on the floor. The room is empty other than glass and water all around them. Their killer stands above them licking his lips.

How did they die?

Try not to google the answer, as it will just defeat the purpose of the thread.

You say the room is empty besides an empty glass and water everywhere, yet you also say the killer is in the room too. 

So the pair did couldn't have died from thirst because that would mean they were not killed, the killer also eliminates dying from injuries from falling down the hill. 

I am going with poisoned.

He didn't say anything about blood, so I was assuming that their deaths were not from stabbing or a shooting ---- but you know what they say about assuming!

An archeologist discovers a sealed cave.

Upon opening it, he looks in, shines his flashlight around and sees two perfectly preserved unclothed bodies...one male and one female.

He then re-seals the cave and publishes a paper, describing his findings, in a scientific journal.

He claims that he has discovered the bodies of Adam and Eve, and that his brief look inside the cave yielded indisputable proof of their identity.

What is the proof?

How did he get up there to hang himself in the first place?

A man is hanging having killed himself. He's 20 feet in the air, and nothing is underneath him other than a pool of water.

How did he get up there to hang himself in the first place?

He stood on a block of ice.  I knew we'd be talking about ice at some point.

I got one. This is a bit complicated to explain and I havn't asked this for a while, so let's hope I explain this clearly, and this is real hard IMO....I could not think of the answer, let's hope you can.

So one day a person dies and 2 doors appeared in fron of him. One leads to heaven, and the other to hell. There are also 2 guardians, one an angel, one a devil, and each guards a door, however it is not known who is the angel and who is the devil, and the angel does not have to be guarding the way to heaven and vice versa. But all he knows is that the angel always tells the truth and the devil always lies.
The person is given one question to distinguish which way he wants to go in order to ascend to heaven. And he can only ask it to one of the guardians. What would that question be?

I'll give you a hint since this is really hard, firstly, it's a yes or no question. And doesn't matter who answers it, the person would know which way to go.

TP to whoever gets it before I go to bed (which is possibly about 30mins away).

should have let the others continue to give it a crack. it took me a little while to get it at first but it's such a good feeling when you do get it.

What would the other guard say if I asked him what is behind his door? The good one knows that the liar will say heaven, the bad one knows that the good one will say heaven, but lie about it and say hell.

Their answers reveal what's behind them.
