Ah...  good question.  He's old enough to be drafted, and he's eligible (under NBA rules) to sign a contract here.  However, he's ineligible under U.S. law.

I would say that nothing prevents you from drafting him, but that he can't necessarily play.  Interesting scenario.

(Again...  that's opinion, not an "official" statement.  These are all wdleehi's calls.)

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I think in order to draft the Iranian guy, you'd need to bridge the gap in world politics and ease international tensions.

If you can come up with a believable story on how that works, Im cool with drafting him.

Even better, you have to do it without violating CB's "no political discussion" rule.  I'm prepared to be amazed.

Haha. "The Americans asked the Iranians 'Why you acting so messed up towards me?'"

to which the Iranians replied 'I don't know, why you acting so messed up towards me?'"

The situation is a little different, I did technically draft him before he signed with Moscow.

Oh man that sucks, The same thing could happen to Ben Gordon (I believe he can walk). He was an even higher pick.

Starting:
C - Andrew Bogut
PF - Lamar Odom
SF - Gerald Wallace
SG - Kevin Martin
PG - Tony Parker

Bench:
C - Shaquille O’neal.
PF - Troy Murphy
SF - Tim Thomas
SG - Michael Finley
SG - Roger Mason Jr
PG - Luke Ridnour
PG - Lindsey Hunter

Let us say we are very happy to have been able to pick up Tim Thomas and Lindsey hunter in the 10th and 11th rounds.

Hunter is a defensive stopper at PG and despite his age is still in fabulous shape to come off the bench.

Thomas proved in Phoenix he can be a spot contributor on a playoff team, although he never really lived up to the talent he possessed coming into the NBA.

The squad is filling out nice with positional depth concerns we'll look to address going forward. What do you guys think?

Question:  Is Hunter coming back?  I heard he was seriously considering retiring.  If he plays next year, he's a good pick.

Yes, Hunter is reportedly contemplating retirement.

I don't think he will and until he does I will assume he's playing. Decent gamble I think.
