After the deal
PG- AI/Augustin
SG- Vince Carter/Smush Parker
SF- Thaddeus Young/Joe Alexander
Pf- Antawn Jamison/Sean Williams
C-Big Z/Eddy Curry

AI, Vince, and Jamison.... that's a lot of shots going up each game.

Games should be entertaining, that's for sure.  They're basically a somewhat better version of this year's Nuggets.

Wow.  Magic look like the clear number one team in the east right now.  With one move, they improved their offense (by having a PG that will work within an offense vs looking for his own shot), improved their defense, and made themselves better in the clutch come playoff time.

Raptors, just don't understand the move.  AI has enough trouble sharing the ball with one other option, but three other options?

By the way, I love the trade for you, but just noticed that you really have no SG. Ben Gordon is available.

Actually, everyone note that. Shawn Marion is too:

Some interesting deals this morning. Orlando won their trade imo. The Bucks and 76s both improved their teams although neither is an Eastern contender.

I was offered AI for decent value but I turned it down because then I would of had AI and Melo and I've already seen how that turned out.

I don't think anything is clear in our league right now, but I think Orlando launched themselves from a dark horse to a top-tier contender.  I think they've got a very good chance of coming out of the East, and then in the Finals once again it's a coin flip.

Teams that can win the championship (in alphabetical order): Detroit, Golden State, Houston, New Jersey, New York, Orlando, Portland

Well, Billups and Iverson both averaged 7 assists this year.  We had the oppurtunity to add a former MVP as well as an explosive young SF with some playoff experience.  I think it was a no brainer. I now see our team able to compete with any team in the east.

The biggest criticism of my team was the SF spot.  I believe we solidified that in a big way and made a parallel move at the PG spot.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Yeah, I don't hate the move for you, either.  As you said, you needed to improve at SF, and you certainly did that.  I like Young a lot.

but Billups has proven to be a team player willing to share.  AI takes turns with Melo being the scorer; the two never really working together.

Just because a team is the favorite, doesn't mean it is going to win.

Definitely true.  When I compare Orlando and New Jersey, though, I don't look at one and say "that team is definitely better".  I think those two are a coin flip.

It's interesting, looking at Chauncey.  You would expect him to start to decline at his age.  Instead, he's coming off perhaps the best season of his career.  Impressive stuff.

True.

I was thinking about the pats, but that works well to.

Right now I see the east this way
1-New Jersey
2-Detroit
3-Orlando
4-Toronto
5-Ny
6-Chicago
7-Charlotte
8-Atlanta
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16
