Hornets select: Jarret Jack

Not a bad choice with what was left.  He's got starting experience, which helps.

  • Ainge *still* has a Posse! Ubuntu Y'all
Just some reposts if people missed them from the Orlando Magics:

1) have the #1 pick in the 5th round but i probably won't be making it unitl tomorrow morning, as i'll be out most of the evening (plus my draft board is a mess after a wild 4th round  ;D )

I posted in the Trade Board that i'm taking offers, but am inclined to keep the pick, FWIW.  But i'll gladly listen to offers (i've made 9 trades thus far, and have offered a 10th which i hthink is fair.... so i like me some trades

2) If anyone's interested, i'm intersted in moving down or out of the the 5th with my second pick (#15).  I've already made 2 and received 2 offers for this, so it might not be around for long.

Ubuntu, y'all.

The Pistons select Jason Terry. I'm surprised he fell to me this late. I was willing to trade up to get him.

C:
PF:Bosh
SF:Turkoglu
SG:Richardson
PG:Terry

Although he is not a pass-first PG, it doesn't matter since I can basically run my offense through Turkoglu

So I pretty much traded Iverson for J Rich and Terry plus 2 more picks. I'm pretty happy with that.

Clippers select Rafer Alston

Rafer will help Dirk work on his toughness by teaching him knife fighting skills.

Hey he is capable of running an offense which is what I need.

I like Rafer (though he was a bit of a weenie at one point last season)

  • The good ole days.
The Minnesota Timberwolves continue their team of the present and the future by selecting a big defender at the 2 who is a deadly efficient scorer inside the arc without needing the ball in his hands, another excellent complement to LeBron, from Arkansas, Ronnie Brewer.

Great pick. I'm surprised he dropped this far. One of the league's better young defenders.

Yeah, Brewer was a great selection.  If you can believe it, last year I got him in like the 12th or 13th round.

Well he didn't really make a name for himself until last year, after a relatively quiet rookie season.  So I can believe it... can't say I knew he'd out up the kind of season he just had.

I didn't think he'd put up this kind of year, but when he was drafted, I thought he was the perfect fit for the Jazz.  I was a little surprised he seemed to struggle so much as a rookie.

Well, I'm bored so let's hear everyone's very early playoff predictions. I'm too confused with all the trades and the roster page, so I don't know everyone's roster.

Could be Sloan's system or just the general shock of the NBA... I was surprised with how much Deron Williams struggled his rookie year there.
