Iverson, + Detroit's 11th (14), 14 (9), 15s (22 & 23)
Jason Richardson + Orlando's 4th (30), 7 (22), 9 (15)
Following the announcement of the trade, the Detroit Pistons released this statement:
"We are very happy with this trade for us. Allen Iverson, although a superstar, is 33 years old. He has not yet declined, but with all the wear and tear over his career we understand it can happen any day."
GM Celtic Fan Forever released this statement "The main motive here for the trade was chemistry. This is Chris Bosh's team now, and Iverson wanted all the attention. Jason will fit nicely with Chris and Hedo, and we believe we can get great value with our newly acquired 4th rounder."
When contacted for a comment, Orlando Magics GM, Gainesville Celtic, said the team would be holding a press conference this evening to coincide with the 1st pick in the 5th round, which they hold. This reporter's sources are hearing Dan Dickau and Patrick O'Bryant's names being whispered.
"I will say," added Gainesville Celtic "that Celtic Fan Forever drives a hard bargain...once or twice I thought about throwing in the towel, but we worked it out. That's his job after all. I gave him a Tommy Point even though my blood pressure is still coming down from our negotiations. CFF is a class act and we look forward to beati... er, meeting the Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals"
"One more thing," continued Gainesville Celtic with a grin on his face "what does a GM have to do to please Roy Hobbs?!? First he says he doesn't like JRich on this team, now he hates Iverson. I hope we meet him in the Finals so we can do what Ainge's boys did to Kupchack's."
Gainesville Celtic ended the brief phone interview oddly, saying "Ubuntu, y'all!"
