From Alabama the Rockets select Gerald Wallace

Your team looks pretty good after all those 2nd rounders.  Got some legit young talent.  Looks like you need some bigs though.

I'm pretty happy with my young veteran squad so far. I do need some bigs though

5 -
4 -
3 - Gerald Wallace
2 - Kevin Martin
1 - Tony Parker

My back-court will score and I love G Walls "D" baby

I guess you need a fallback guard when Rondo is off the board.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Well, everyone has been whining for years to get LeBron a point guard.  And they also whine to get him shooters.

Calderon is now officially a starter (both in reality and my little magical world), and last year, as a starter, he shot 53% from the floor and 45% from deep, while dishing out 9.1 assists.

This will not be 'give the ball to LeBron on the perimeter and watch him kamikaze the lane' offense.  But on the occasion that he does this, he now has a knock down shooter waiting for the wide open 3.  Oh baby.

The Lakers and the Bucks have until 7 to make their picks before the next round starts.

Of course the Lakers start the next round so we could be waiting till 1:30 tomorrow.

There has been a trade.  Portland is now on the clock.

Portland selects Al Horford.

!!! UGh..... Roy is gonna run this league like he does these forums.

I asked this before and didn't see an answer.... but how are teams that are ending up with like 7 or 8 total picks going to meet the 12 man minimum?  Once the draft commences, are they free to claim any undrafted players?

Now that there is a pause, I will pose this question for a 3rd time.

How are teams that are ending up with like 7 or 8 total picks going to meet the 12 man minimum?  Once the draft commences, are they free to claim any undrafted players?

That's one way (though they do not get any special priority)

Or they can make trades.

I'll admit that I did take Rondo early. But I do not have another pick until the 6th round, and I was not able to slide down in the 2nd as was my intention.

I also have not bought the hype about Rose.

PG: Rondo
SG: Redd
SF/PF: Deng
PF/C: Okafor

I'm quite happy with those 4.

Congrats on your 1000th Post!

My personal unsolicited opinion:

For the most part, the draft has gone as I'd expect.   The three most overvalued players have been:

Rondo (I have him as a early to mid 4th rounder)
and... Ray Allen/Rasheed Wallace (I have them both at the bottom of the 3rd)

You could also make a very valid argument that Monta Ellis was taken a good 15-25 picks early... but I understand it.

With that said... everyone has a strategy and I don't fault anyone for taking the forum heros early (Ray and Rondo) ;)
