Agent: Grizzlies forward Brown agrees to two-year deal with Pistons

We could've had Kwame for only $8M Danny!  plus another $8M for luxury taxes.

Think of the raw potential, man.

NTY. Not worth 4 million.

'Nuff said.

Let the Pistons spend their $$ however they want to.

Dang!  How could Danny not sign this stud! And only $16 Mil.  What the heck was Danny thinking! >:(

Perk is way better than Kwame. Kwame doesn't deserve Perk money. Nuff said.

4 mil seems a little pricey for Olowokandi 2.0

Now that is an odd signing. Wonder why the Pistons made that move?

Kwame shouldn't be hustling more than $3mil per. I thought some team would get him at around the LLE this year, with a max of $3mil per. How did the Pistons have to pay so much?

It'll be interesting to see what Kwame can do for the Pistons. He'll probably disappoint but the Pistons do need some legit size so Kwame can do some good there. They were vulnerable all last season to any team with actual size, heck their lack of size made Perkins look dominant. Kwame should help them defensively and on the backboards. Rasheed Wallace will be an excellent influence for Kwame too, he's brilliant with young players.

On the bright side this surely rules out Theo as a returning player for the Pistons. Go get Theo! C'mon Danny, skip to it, go get it done.

I thought Kwame Brown was not going to get anything more the the minimum, till he proves himself.

wow.  A little pricey but I don't think the Pistons are in the luxury tax range.  He should help them a little defensively but not much else.   I don't think Danny blew it especially at this price.

Pistons would've been better off signing me, and I have trouble reaching the top cabinet.

It does seem odd. Maybe Joe Dumars is starting to prepare for a sign-and-trade for Josh Smith? Rasheed Wallace represents a huge expiring contract to play with . . .

This is good news.  That's less money they have to pay Walter Hermann it increases the chance they let him go, and hopefully DA has the foresight to spend some of the remaining MLE on him.

I forget where I read it now. But reports out of Detroit say that the asking price for Josh Smith was too high and that the discussions over a sign and trade where from a few weeks ago and not over the past few days - which makes perfect sense considering there were strong rumours that died out a while back.

I'd also be a lot more comfortable with Kwame if it meant Rasheed Wallace was around to chaperone him. McDyess is too quiet and unassuming to be a guiding force, the rest of their bigs are too young. They need Rasheed if they plan to get something out of Kwame.

This is good news.  That's less money they have to pay Walter Hermann it increases the chance they let him go, and hopefully DA has the foresight to spend some of the remaining MLE on him.
I can't imagine Detroit signing Walter Herrmann anyway. He's as free as a bird and I don't see many teams trying to out-bid one another to get his services. Danny can get him if he wants him.

Biggest threat for Walter is from a Euro team.
