Jeez, guys, I'm not sure I deserve my own topic, but thanks.  ::)

I was just reading one of Roy's comments on the Welcome Back Tony comments section and I wanted to correct a quote from the Globe, which was either poorly edited or mis-transcribed.  I had to register to comment and so here I am.

A little about me: I'm 30 and living in Jamaica Plain.  I love basketball and the Celtics.  I'm currently at work, so I'll leave it at that.

This is a great site and I hope to contribute a little knowledge here and there.

Sorry guys, I'm not BrickJames reincarnated.  Though I must say, I followed the 'guarantee' and "SalmonAndMashedPotatotes" would have been an appropriate name to reincarnate under.  It's better than eating crow.

The quote may have been mis-transcribed, but the +31-per-48 minutes is completely inaccurate, if that's the point Danny was trying to convey.  (I wasn't sure if you saw the response on the front page).

Welcome to the blog.  It's always nice to have new members.  (It's nice having lurkers / guests, as well, but it's good to be able to have a healthy dialogue once in awhile.)

Yeah, Roy, I saw your comment and responded to it.  Personally, I'll take the stats compiled by the Celtics over the ones at 82games.com, which seem to be inaccurate from time to time.  What kind of oversight do they have at 82games.com anyway?  I believe Danny when he says Tony was +31 per 48 minutes when playing with the starters.  He just didn't pull that # out of the air; it's part of his preparation when he sits down to compile a player's worth.  I doubt he mis-spoke, or that his numbers are 'completely inaccurate.'
