I have loved the Celtics since I was a little tyke...I remember crying in '85 and '87 as the Celtics lost to the Lakers in the NBA Finals.  My heart hurt to see Larry Legend hobbled in the early 90's.  I had a lot of respect for the Lakers back in the day (Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Byron...and even Rambis), even when they beat the Celtics. Being a high school basketball coach, those teams played the game the "right" way...as a team.  Larry Legend was the consumate team player; he made everybody around him a better player.  I still have a Converse poster in my bedroom, picturing Larry diving for a loose ball.  The quote above it reads, "It makes me sick when a guy just watches it go out of bounds."  I hang it in my team's locker room every year.  If the greatest ever can do the dirty work, why not you?  I'm getting chills as I write this.  Watching the Red Sox and Patriots win it all was nice, but a Celtics championship was the only thing that would fulfill me.  I NEVER thought I would see the C's win another NBA Championship in my lifetime, let alone beat the Lakers in such a dominating fashion.  After the C's won the series vs. the Lakers, I felt like the little kid in '86 that ran around the backyard screaming, "Celtics #1!".  It was a great feeling that I thought I would never have again.  I've read the CelticsBlog for awhile and decided to be a contributor to the site.  I look forward to reading and posting Celtics news for years to come.
