PF - Powe 24 years old
 C - Perkins 23 years old
SG - Giddens 23 years old
PF - Davis 22 years old
PG – Rondo 22 years old
SG – Pruitt 22 years old
C - O’Bryant 22 years old
SF – Walker 20 years old

I think Danny is done acquiring assets (young players)…for now…but you never know with him.

So who will open some eyes of the Celtic fans next year?

I think Powe, Perkins, and Davis have topped out talent-wise…they might get more consistent but they won’t show off any “new” skills.

I think O’Bryant can surprise some but I think that Giddens will be a lot better than what we all thought.

I disagree.  It's hard for me to say that BBD has reached his ceiling after a very inconsistent rookie year.  I think as he gets into better shape, his athleticism will improve, making him better on both ends of the court.  I also don't think BBD has scratched the surface with his passing skills, and has yet to show case his jumper, which he featured in the NCAA.

I'd go with Davis as having the most ability to make a big improvement from last year, not only in the above areas, but certainly with his consistency.  This year, I expect more steady performances, rather than the constant ups-and-downs of last year.

I also expect to see some good things out of Pruitt.  I don't think he'll have a huge role, but he should be a guy who can occasionally get the ball to the rim off the bench.

I think you'll see Powe and Perk try to improve their offensive games.  Both have demonstrated range on their jumpers, Powe in college and Perk in practice.  Also, Powe definitely could improve on the defensive end, in terms of proper rotations, etc.

With the rookies, I don't expect a whole lot.  O'Bryant...  Well, if he adds more of a contribution than Pollard did last season, I'll be impressed.

i'd say perk, becuase he had some really impressive games in the post-season. Game 5 against detroit he really opened my eyes to the type of player he could be. i just thought he was a good inside threat with no really offensive abilities besides coming up with offensive rebounds and dunking them home. in this game he was showing a really good low post off. i really hope i'm right cause if he could become more of an offensive threat (along with rondo's jumper) we'd be unstoppable.

Great topic.

I think Giddens has the best chance to leap out and suprise everybody next year -  just like Josh Howard did; great defense, strong rebounding, and energy. He has the tools, will not be intimidated, and in 24 minutes could easily be a 9 points, 5 rebounds guy for this team.

also he's not a kid, out of all the young talent named he's one of the oldest. i think he's grown out of all his off the court trouble and really will be playing with something to prove.

I think Rondo takes another leap next year. I expect Rondo to be better in every category. Honestly, I would be shocked if Rondo does not improve. On a side note, it is amazing to think Perk is only 23, he has been a C for a while.

perkins, the man will continue to assert himself on the boards and his shooting game will continue to get better.

I still think that Davis can mold into an more skilled Antione Walker who actually likes to play under the hoop.

His passing skills are unbelievable at his position: no-looks, bullet passes that hit the hands of the target -- this guy has the passing skills of a guard.

I really hope he stays true to his commitment to the fitness room, because converting 30 lbs of baby fat into 20 lbs of muscle can potentially do miracles. I mean, the guy has the footwork to stay with wing players on switches as he is, can you imagine what he can do with proper conditioning?

And of course, consistency will be what we'll all be looking at this season, but I agree that Davis is far from topping out.

Agree with Roy on Davis.  He hasn't scratched the surface.  If he gets in any kind of shape, he will have a breakout season.  Hopefully he's been working with whoever worked with Perk.

I think the key to Davis having a breakout season is if O'Bryant can break the rotation.  If he can, Davis' and especially Powe's PT will be more limited.

I'd suspect both starters, Perk and Rondo...

Now with having played the most minutes against the players they will be seeing again, having played the most with the 3 HOF'ers and being playoff tested, they both will add most significantly to their skills to contribute by experience.

Just looking at that roster list I'm encouraged for each of their further development given the minutes needed for experience...

Baby,Perk,Pruitt,Rondo can all get better and Giddens can be a solid player. However the two unknowns that could actually go from nowhere to significant are O'Bryant and Walker. O'Bryant has been a washout but he didn't have Clifford Ray coaching him and he does't fit well in Nellie's offense anyhow. He has too many physical skills to be non-existent. Walker has All-star potential except for experience and injuries. Right now he is less than zero but could significant by the end of the year. Neither O'Bryant nor Walker will get major minutes this year but to go from nothing to significant by next year will be a big leap and it can happen with both.

If perk can work on his shooting touch, he can be a double double threat every night.  (the 10/10 variety, not 15 or 20/10 type)
