Celtics do not need a Me first PG still expecting to be treated like an all-star on this team.

The Celtics do not need a PG that has clashed with every head coach he had in NY.

It is extremely naive to expect Marbury's personality to change in his 30s. It might change for a week when he decides he wants a ring and will sacrifice, but people don't change that easily.

The time will come when he is convinced he is being misused and disrespected by riding the pine at important moments. That's who he is

Starbury is so concerned about what people think about him I could see him accepting a role off the bench to ride this team to a title.

I don't like him, but he has way more left in the tank than Cassell.

Thee have been some really awful ideas since we won the title.

While the worst was resigning Gerald Green, Marbury is very, very close to that one.

for the record, this wasn't my idea =)

He might accept it. For about one month. His character isn't going to change. Look at his attitude the last two years.

He might want to change, but he is who is he. His personality will reappear.

Well, Marbury was also accused of sexual abuse by Anucha Browne Sanders.  She said he abused a female staff member, although I don't recall the details of her testimony.  Sanders settled for 11.5 million, as you may recall.

Marbury may be a "me first" player, but I can't imagine anyone more "me first" than Sam Cassell was last year. Cassell looked for his own shot first, second and third.

starbury was never accused of sexual harassment, zeke was - steph was testifying regarding a culture that was happening in the Knicks, not because he was a defendant.

all steph did was tell the truth about a little truck party he had with an intern.

who doesn't love truck parties?

Knowing Ainge, I don't know what to think. One part of me says he wouldn't dare. But it's not like he hasn't taken on a headcase or two before, so that probability gap, however small it may be, is still there.

I believe Ainge when he says that Pruitt is the backup PG next year though. So all he needs is a third string option.

Don't think House wants to come back in such a role. Look for him to be outie.

Now with regard to third stringer(s) - who can step into a second unit when called upon, I think Danny's looking for someone who can accept sitting on the bench for long periods of time. Someone who can play, but someone who will keep his mouth shut if needed. I'm thinking Tyronn Lue could be an option (also great friends with KG, from what I've heard).

Jason Williams and Stephon Marbury don't seem like people you'd want sitting on the bench most of the time. They seem like chemistry disrupters, not exactly stabilizers.

But we did sign Sam Cassell, who was a known threat to ubuntu before he was bought out by the Clippers. So we really have no idea. As fans we're basically just left with trying to analyze things and over-analyze and re-interpret them in as many ways possible even though only a few select people know exactly what's going on without all the over-analytical stuff involved.

Jason Williams seemed fine for the chemistry when he was the starting point guard on a championship team.

But he wouldn't be starting for the Celtics, which would mean he could cause problems if he isn't being given "starters" or even "second unit" minutes. I'd much rather have a wily veteran like Lindsey Hunter in that role. Not to say I want a Piston, but that kind of player is what we should be looking for
