He talks about it in an interview with Dickerson...That is good to hear but it will be interesting to see what his agent thinks about it.

his agent should think that his client is the 50th pick and isnt cracking a championship roster for a year or two, and send his guy out to work on his game.

kid is the 50th pick, he's not sniffing a roster spot.

He was a low pick but he's a top 20 talent.

He'll make the roster this year and ride the bench and appear in some blowout games.

I think next year he cracks the rotation.

Every kid with upside picked in the second round is played up as "well, if it haden't been for x, he would have been a lottery pick!"

and if i had been 7'2, i would have made the NBA instead of a desk job.

He will not be taking a valuable bench spot on a championship team, its either europe or the NBDL for him for a year.

Being a nice guy, you would expect Walker to say something like this. But I want him on the roster as a 14/15th man, and he also wants to make the roster this years.

That's what I keep telling myself all the time ;D

But I think (and hope) Walker can make a roster spot and be playing in the D-league with the occasional call-up.
Anything is possible!!!

idk... i think the talent in europe may be actually better than the nbdl, however, if he stays with the team, he'll bond with other young celtics more and familiarize himself with doc/plays more too. i think when it comes down to it, its all about his health. is he healthy enough to make the team and really play.

Antoine would be perfect in Europe...... over there, big men like to jack up 3's and are finese players..... he'd fit in like he was a citizen over there.

i'm not too fond of gidden's video interview. when asked about his past, he said he would be very open about it but then when greg asks to explain what happened to his suspension, he says, i don't know, coaches decision? he wanted to teach me a lesson, lesson learned. that was not convincing at all.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
yeah, i think antoine has been too deeply ingrained into our minds - i was thinking 'toine as well...and also thinking, he ought to just hang it up, and instead of europe just head over to mcdonalds...

I'd love to see Danny sign someone who can help us this year while Walker plays in Europe and we retain his rights.

He might be able to get a good one year contract over there too.

We already have Pruitt as our marginal chance to contribute this year guy, and he is guaranteed money this year. We also have Scal. I would expect Giddens to get a roster spot too since they are working out a contract.

if you are really going to need that "15th spot" on the roster, I'd rather see them buy out Scalabrine AND let Walker develop on our bench while spending some occasional time in the D-League.  IMO, being around and practicing against guys like Pierce/Allen/Garnett/Posey is going to help him a ton.

Do you seriously think he hasnt been hanging out at McDonalds?

I mean, if you factor in his employee discount, he may actually make much more working there than signing somewhere for the league minimum.....

The only problem would be, instead of handing someones food to them, he would insist on standing behind the grill, fading away, and throwing it toward them....

On a good night, he would be 1 for 5 with 3 Mcribs....
