"According to agent Mark Bartelstein, PJ Brown is ready to hang up the sneaks. He got his championship with the Celtics and is ready to move on with life away from the rigors of an 82-game schedule. The Celtics have already reached out to Houston's Dikembe Mutombo and Hornets free agent Chris Andersen as they begin the search for a back-up center."

i figured he would retire and i dont fault him at all.  he was instrumental for us, especially in the playoffs.  thanks pj, and best of luck!

PJs jumper against Cleveland from about 90 feet out very well could have kept our season alive.

However, I think now that he won his ring, there's far less of a chance of him returning midseason next season.

My guess is that his agent said he was ready to retire last year about this time too. We all know what happened there.

Besides let's take a look at what he really said.

That doesn't mean he ready to move on to a life away from the rigors of a 30 game schedule!!
