"According to agent Mark Bartelstein, PJ Brown is ready to hang up the sneaks. He got his championship with the Celtics and is ready to move on with life away from the rigors of an 82-game schedule. The Celtics have already reached out to Houston's Dikembe Mutombo and Hornets free agent Chris Andersen as they begin the search for a back-up center."

Not a shock, if he does hang'em up I wish him the best.

PJs jumper against Cleveland from about 90 feet out very well could have kept our season alive.

He was retired last year and then came back.  Don't count him out as a mid season addition.

Of course, thanks to P.J.

However, I think now that he won his ring, there's far less of a chance of him returning midseason next season.

Still, you never know.

Gracias, PJ. Espero verte nuevamente en Marzo del año que viene.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

My guess is that his agent said he was ready to retire last year about this time too. We all know what happened there.

Besides let's take a look at what he really said.

"According to agent Mark Bartelstein, PJ Brown is ready to hang up the sneaks. He got his championship with the Celtics and is ready to move on with life away from the rigors of an 82-game schedule."

That doesn't mean he ready to move on to a life away from the rigors of a 30 game schedule!!
