Quote
Free agent guard Gerald Green has agreed to a one-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks. Green, a first round pick of the Boston Celtics in 2005, was part of the trade that sent Kevin Garnett from Minnesota to Boston. The Timberwolves traded Green to Houston last season. He played in one game for his home town team before being released.

They want to be able win something.  Now they can go for the Dunk title.

For the min.? Part of the MLE?

If it's part of the MLE, it's one more team with less resources to offer for free-agents than the Celtics.

Good news so far... good for Green too, hopefully he gets a fair opportunity to try and make it in this league.

I doubt they had to give him too much money.  LLE, max.

I think they're saving their MLE for Diop.

Glad to see him still in the show, glad to see him still in Texas.  I know why he hasn't worked out in the NBA, but I still like the kid.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Vet min?

Most likely.  I can't imagine a team that wants to win now like the Mavs would commit any actual resources to a guy who is going to be on the end of their bench.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I hope him almost dropping out the league is a wake up call for him. I think he realizes now that he has to put in the work. Maybe he could turn things around... maybe.

Must be getting chump change. Surprising move by Dallas, glad to see the kid playing at home.
