as soon as the trade was announced i wanted to find a place to get good celtics information and talk to people who are also celtics fans, and thus i came to celticsblog. a couple weeks later i started my first year of college, took a class called Athletes, Fans, and Society. My first paper was on greatness in sports. (I go to a Nichols College, a business school, and we have to write from a business perspective) In my paper i wrote how the celtics were going to use the big trades to their advantage to sign key role players(Posey, House, Pollard all signed shortly after), i wrote that they were going to return to the glory days, and i wrote that it was all thanks to Danny Ainge sticking with his five year plan which he announced in the beginning when he was hired. I think a lot of people forgot about that over the hard times, but boy did he deliver. I also predicted the Celtics would get atleast 60 regular season wins, and win in the NBA finals, and that Danny would win executive of the year. I also may have gone a little overboard in the end in saying that Danny should be in the Hall of Fame as an executive for the moves hes made, but maybe not, time will tell. The paper got an A- which i thought was a pretty good grade for my first college paper ever, it also got me a conversation with my professor about how he interviewed Pete Rose and how he thinks Pete should be in the baseball Hall of Fame. So long story short, i knew from the beginning.
