If you could have changed anything about the Finals series, what would it be??  I personally would have wanted the last game to be a bit closer but i can see where people enjoyed the blowout because it provided the starters a  chance to enjoy the moment.

Perk's shoulder injury.

Pierces injury wasn't good but it definitely gave the team a lift when he came back. Rondo's ankle injury showed how effective House could be in games providing a lift in LA, so I don't think I would change those (I say that now but that may change once we hear about Pierce's knee). Perk's shoulder didn't seem to help in any way. Can't think of anything else that would help though.

I would have liked to see Scal get on the floor and produce in some small way.

Perkins shoulder injury bothers me and I would have like to have seen that avoided.  I think the Celts would have won in 5 if he hadn't been injured.

I would have also liked to have seen Kobe play even worse, but that would have been almost impossible!

I don't think anything would top that 75 foot drive for a slam by Leon, but Scal getting in there would have been cool (although he did have that memorable press conference...). Honestly, I'm just glad that Rondo's ankle bounced back so we didn't have an entire summer of "let's find another team stupid enough to take Rondo off our hands so we can sign a crappy pg with a good outside shot" threads.

I would have changed that all who put Perk down would have appreciated what he does and how much he means to this team. There are more, but for just one thing people need to appreciate that Perk in the game allows KG to do his thing.

I definitely would have wanted to see Scal get in the game more.  I feel like he is even better than Gino as a victory cigar.  And that last game was built for a Scal 3 point exhibition.  I mean theres no bigger insult than having scal close a game other than possibly putting Timlin in to close a 5+ run game.

I would have wanted to see the Laker players get into a fight on the bench.   They were close.

I loved that it was a blowout for two reasons.  One, it showed how much better we were than the Lakers.  Two, and most importantly, it let me really soak in the game and enjoy it, rather than be upset at every bad call the refs were making.  I was in a state of euphoria for the entire 4th quarter and it was great to see everyone celebrating on the bench, and guys like Tony and Big Baby being able to get some run at the end.

I would have wanted the series to go into seven games, with the Celtics winning, ofcourse.  It just seems to me like a seven-game series would have been a real cliffhanger.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
I wished the blowout had been bigger starting on the first Q so I would have dared watched it live a lot sdooner. As it was, I dared watch it live since the middle of the third Q. I thoughrouly enoyed what I watched live. lolol

I'm surprised people wanted the game to be closer and the series to go 7.  I couldn't take that.  My nerves were shattered from watching this entire NBA playoffs.  I had to sit through a game 7 against Atlanta, game 7 against Cleveland, a dogfight of a series against Detroit, watch them almost blow a 24 point lead in Game 2, watch them come back from 24 down in game 4...so i was SO relieved to not have to sweat out this game 6.  It helped me relax and enjoy the moment.  I couldn't have picked a better script to finish the season.

Phil Jackson probably would have wanted to see that too. Sadly, there was no fight in that team in game 6.

Good point.

I would have liked to have seen Jackson break down on the podium.
