Good for ESPN! First, a CHAMPIONSHIP night, now this. The night couldn't have gone any better for me. Me being an African American felt shame by what she wrote, and I was one of the first to email ESPN and voice my displeasure for her article (before it was edited).

Again, hats off to ESPN! #17 BABY!!!! YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

That's great news. She is completely classless and I have no respect for her at all.

I´ve already said everything I had to say about that article.

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

she spews a bunch of racial bs at a team that had a black head coach then and now and a history that suggested it was way ahead of the civil rights movement. Yeah she is an idiot.

I dont hate Jemele Hill, and I dont know if suspending her was maybe too harsh, but she DEFINETELY deserves MUCH heat for that piece she did....and here is an even bigger question....does ESPN.com have editors?  i was wondering how that piece of trash article couldve made it thru any editors desk..

mainevent, i also being an African American was outraged by that article, and I also put my comments in there....Im sure we werent the only ones either..

best thing about it.....WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, JEMELE!!!   WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!

Suspending her is an over-reaction. The article wasn't that far off what she was writing before. Give her a warning and then give your editor a warning.

Otherwise fire her for being very bad at her job.

Suspending her is a first step.  Making her right a cogent article on why resorting to the hyperbole she used is (1) culturally and (2) financially damaging to ESPN might do a lot more good.

My problem with Hill is that she harps on race all the time.

Race is an issue in the real world. I like sports because it takes place in an unreal setting: the best players, people who enforce the rules fairly (which are clearly defined) winners, losers, sportsmanship - in short, nothing like real life.

What value is a conversation about race? I could care less about race! Her hyperbole distracts me from being distracted!!!

Moreover, for someone so conscious of race, she compares a basketball team with someone who killed 6 million Jews?  That's simply pathetic if you ask me. It's as if she has the self-awareness of an 8 year old.

It is just a shame we didn't get to see her reaction to the Celtics winning before she got suspended.

And she deserved to get suspended.

I look forward to the next year: a repeat championship, and Jemele's inevitable firing.  Good times.

Yer, this puzzled me aswell. Surely when a comparison of hitler is written in any form you would get out the magnifying glass and double check it.
