can someone please explain the illegal defense to me?

On that last play, it was a defensive 3 seconds violation.  You can't be in the paint for more than 3 seconds unless you're within "guarding distance" of your man.

fair enough. why can't they call the offensive 3 seconds, the time before

The joke is, because refs aren't smart enough to be able to count on both of their hands at once.  Thus, it's either offensive or defensive.

As Garnett hit that shot my dad just said "That was Larry Bird."
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Wow wow wow great stuff.  We won't let up this time.  Win the third quarter, finish this thing off.  LakersGround.net here I come, should be an entertaining halftime, good call Roy.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I understand the 3 second rule.  But the two fouls on Baby for Illegal defense, were those 3 seconds?  I don't think so, he was just guarding Pau Gasol.  But maybe I missed something?

I'm officially glad we lost Game 5 at this point.  This game has been fantastic.

This is far from over...they erased 22 pts off a 24 pt lead in 7 minutes in Game 2...we cannot let up.

But we're not going to...the boys came to play and the Lakers came like they didn't really expect to win the series anyway...

KEEP IT GOING!!
